So, the September 2015 doomsday predictions came to nothing, can we end the stupidity?

End of world predictions are quite fun. It's the uninformed trying to be clever, or at least sound informed. These threads are usually propagated by the "... I saw it on YouTube, so it must be true..." types.

Just think, if everyone had paid attention in school, applied logical reasoning and were not so gullible, then life would be boring.

What? We had a bunch of disasters in this so called shemitah year. These are pretty big and just continuing into the Jubilee year.

11 Trillion... yes trillion in losses (hint, that is huge).

fortune.com...

2.1 Trillion dollars erased from the US stack market in 6 days.
money.cnn.com...

The King Priest (Pope) declared "The failure of the cross". (Yes, that is Huge)

The Russians now have a permanent presence in the Middle East.

Iran (do I need to say more)

Migrants flood Europe.

Fire burns the West Coast:
www.theguardian.com...

California Drought is quite a big deal if you like to eat.
California’s Drought Could Upend America’s Entire Food System
thinkprogress.org...
www.cbsnews.com...
news.nationalgeographic.com...

So many people have been desensitized to what is going on around them due to being flooded with Non Sense News and Social Media daily.

And of course the Revelation 12 sign is in the sky in 2017

As usual it came to nothing.

I know, it was a non event, but jeez, you sound disappointed. Don't worry though, you will, in due time, forget about this one and jump right on board the next - just like the rest of us...

Spring, Autumn, and Winter - particularly March, April, September, October, and December - seem to be the most common prediction seasons.

I've been on this site for some time now. In that time, there have been hundreds (or more) of prediction topics, with several every year. So far, to my knowledge, none have ever come to fruition.

As long as people exist, there will be efforts to predict the future. Those who do will range from devout believers who never let go of the scenario even after the date passes, to those who merely tentatively raise possibilities but express skepticism all along.

It's just a part of this site, and seemingly, human tendency in general whether online or off. Personally, I take note, but never concern myself with them unduly.

Peace.

Well, i looked and there were several ongoing threads about how late September, something was going to happen. As usual it came to nothing. Zero, Zilch, Nothing!

The bottom line is what really annoys me is every time something like this happens there is no apology from the person who started the thread, or who gave their supposed divine prediction. They just disappear and reappear 6 months later to start a " bunkering down in Denver airport something going to happen October 10-15th thereabouts" thread.

I agree entirely. In fact I would love to see this taken step further with all sorts of things, especially politics and economics. How often do we get the "If you do Y then A will happen" followed by the rah rah cheering of the tabloid led masses. How often do we read "Joe blogs predicted A and it did not happen". Surely if anyone of any topic of any viewpoint is to be believed we have to have some kind of track record to go back on.

Would someone like to start a website of predictions and accuracy ?

I agree. It had actually been a while since I came across some good, quality doom porn. The September predictions were refreshing and just what I was looking for. They had a great mix of biblical prophecy, ancient historical references, and current day news (jade helm) all mixed in together to form the perfect "connect the dots" type of doom porn that I love!

Now that September is gone.. I'll have to sit here and wait for the next

Those October videos aren't very satisfying

Just a reminder for those that missed the memo...

October is Pandemic and Pumpkin Spice Month, just as it is every year.

For those of you in the certified d00mologist course, please submit your Pandemic and/or Pumpkin Spice threads before Wednesday for full credit. Extra credit for carved pumpkins with a d00m theme!

"Lighten up there its all harmless internet fun"

When my brother checked on his nine year old son to see if he was asleep (prior to going to bed himself) a few weeks ago he found him awake and frightened. He told him all the kids in school were talking about a comet that was going to destroy the earth in few weeks.

When the silly predictions start scaring kids, that's where it stops being anywhere close to funny.

The doomsday ish is everywhere now, even MSM. For every factual article about the blood moon, the where two about the end of the world prophesy. It's damn near impossible to get away from it.

Don't forget the turkey mass near extinction event by the last Thursday of the month, and I predict that December will be...

Cold.

Just gonna throw it out there.

May I ask you a question?
Where did this end of the world - doomsday - or whatever it's pc to call it, information come from?

Would it by any chance be via some sort of media?

September 28th and 29th, something did happen. I'm truly sorry you missed it, I won't try to convince you of what happened. You have clearly been given misinformation.
It was never intended to be the end of the world, but the end of the world as it is known.
Please take a look at some sites regarding energy shifts, here is one I randomly choose to give you a idea of what this means. in5d.com...
For me personally, and I only speak from my own experiences, found this time to be a real eye opener, finding answers to my many many questions, but by all means not at all frightening, threatening or violent.
The truth is out there but only you can find it for yourself.
When I was told the exact same thing I thought 'why not just tell me'
After finding out the truth I realised, I wouldn't of believed the truth if it had come from someone telling me.
I have found, backed by science, the truth. No he said, she said end of the world, attacked by aliens mullarky.

All that you say is true, but I'm not quite ready to declare it the beginning of the end of days yet. I need to see it continue to develop, but the Middle East is really troubling.

I thought about starting one on how the zombie apocalypse was going to start in Kansas because Gov. Brownback declared it zombie apocalypse awareness month ... but well, I have more sense than that.

Perhaps we could have a separate forum for fail prophesies, with OP names removed...it is getting waaay tedious.

I don't think we need that. As far as I know, it would be far more efficient to have a special place for prophecies and predictions that actually do come true. I can't recall any that have come up big since I've been around. Don't you think that would be more useful than simply shuffling every thread from one place to another?

...the 'come true' one, would be virtually empty...leaving it open to chitter-chatter the ways that a 'prophesy' fits into any assemblage of events...

Re: shuffling

It might force a 'reconsider' of the real estate being used to discuss obvious failures...

all of the doomporn prediction threads should be moved to the the Ludicous Online Lies section as soon as they are posted.
If their predictions are correct then there will be nobody left to say "oops that shouldn`t be in the LOL forum"
and if they are wrong then that`s exactly where their post belongs.
Stick them all in the LOL forum from the start.

A lot of the September doom predictions we're connected to CERN, from what I hear there was some sort of hick up with the new power source (2x more powerful then before) and now the Large Hadron Collider won't reach maximum power until October 20-21.

So, I guess don't give your hopes up?

World will not end, your world ends when you die, period.

World is changing, and a major change is looming in the shadows. Like any other major changes, that have come and gone in our past history, we are approaching that time that's will see some systems fall and new one prop up in the come years.

Change is a constant, it only depends on how significant it will be affecting our lives as we know it.

Peace
