Alka-saltzer is good for upset stomachs apparently.

That or take less salt with your diet of right-wing propaganda BS.

Context is everything. That clip had none.

Booo hooo! Cry me a river. The so called religious holiday called Eid is't authorized by the Quran. Sectarian Islam will die soon.

OMG the xenophobia in this thread is rife.
Again how is 5% of people going to take over? we hear this in the UK and I ask the same I live in a very high populated area of Muslims in the UK and all the fears spouted by many in this thread is just fear, fear of others because they are different from you.
Muslim folk around here just want a safe enviroment for their kids to grow up in they don't want Sharia law and enjoy the freedoms my country give them.
I used to take a guy to mosque and had a chat a few times to the Imam and he loves the UK he came from Iran and left because of the religious revolution. He has expressed anger to me about fundie Muslims and just wants what most people want.
Sure their religion sucks as does everyone of them but you guys here....

I see you come from the same area in the UK as me... Do you think multiculturalism has worked?

From what I can see, wherever there are Muslims there seems to be extremely ran down areas. That's not an insult - That's an observation. I have also experienced countless expensive cars driven by young Muslims who I know (yes, know.. from others) they have gained these cars from drug dealing. It's common knowledge.

I can't be politically correct anymore and say "well, it's not just Muslims" because, of course it's not! But they have completely over run this city. Mosques are built and churches closing down and struggling.

Sorry, but it makes me sick.

Discrimination and poverty feed off one another so is it any wonder Muslims are more likely to live in poverty here in the uk?

I am not sure why the closing down of churches makes you sick, what has that to do with Muslims? Are we to say they may no longer build mosques just because Christians are losing their faith?

A magnificently ignorant way to navigate life and validate your thinking..

Alas..Klan members of typical intelligence often feel their views are correct and widespread while surrounded by like minded folks.

My post simply recommended critical thinking...admittedly the suggestion is useless for those incapable of the same.

You know what happened when I realized that the public school could not fit my children's needs? I took them out of the system and educated them in my own home. That way we could take holidays whenever we wanted, and I didn't have to force any curriculum upon any other family that might have different views.

We were once a Christian nation but that petered out and was replaced by a secular, non-religious majority who no longer understand the benefits or dangers of religion.
It's that huge blind spot that going to screw us in the end.

How were we a Christian nation? Was there something in the Constitution or civil laws that acknowledged Jesus and we all missed it?

Really? Muslims live in poverty in the UK? Quite the opposite.

Yes, the closure of churches does make me sick in contrast to the amount of mosques AKA Islam becoming more popular and Christianity moving away... hence the topic of this thread.

Having looked at this here is the question that I would like to know about: How many parents had their children in school last year? Why did they not approach and ask for such off and see if a reasonable accomodation can be made. Yet at the same time, the other parents brought up a valid point and that being not every holiday is celebrated or closed the school down for.

No, you are right, very much I may say so, it didn't have the word Jesus, but neither had, Buddha, Allah, Confucius, Shinto, Zoroaster or Tao.

But one thing is for sure, from the beginning of this nations first pilgrim they were escaping religious percussion but they were Christians.

The first settlers of the Plymouth Colony in present-day Plymouth what is known as the Pilgrim fathers, wanted separation of church and state, But they all agree on the use of a version of the bible.

No the Quran or any other religious ancient writings.

That was the beginning of what is today the numbers of churches denominations in the US, that started later after the pilgrims with John Smyth 1570 and his visions he was a Baptist minister of England that believed in religious freedom and played a big role on the settlement of James town.

No doubt that the majority were. They were however wise enough to check their respective religions at the door of Independence Hall.

Well they did, came with the same set of Christians believes, but didn't wanted the state to tell them how to worship those believes and they didn't wanted a theocratic rule.

Still after more people migrated and settle in the colonies they all started to split into different views on the worship of religion, still using the bible and still very much Christians yes, they didn't wanted religion in what later on became the establishment of a government.

Religious freedom in the US was mean to keep government away from the way people worship their religion, and for the country to become a theocratic ruling nation later on, but it was still Christianity what was worshiped and it stay like that for along time.

Many constitutional experts and historians believe that the reason we have freedom of religion in the constitution was to made sure that no states will adopt any particular religion by majority first, even when most people agree that it was for government to separate Church and state

But we know how that work, even when states can not establish a religion, religion has always been part of government.

Assimilate or GO HOME!!!

If the country you left was such a snip hole that you came to another country? Assimilate OR GO HOME!

BTW? Where is Governor Christy on this issue?

Yep. They walk out of the meeting. Well then, they can walk their asses back to someplace they think they'll have it better. If you have it so bad here, go back to a predominately Muslim country and see how good you'll have it. I wonder if a Christian or Jew petitioned for days off in a Muslim community, if they would be accomodating.

I agree, Illinois have the largest population if Islamic middle easterners in the US is call the capital of Islam, I am sure that the state can accommodate for anything the Muslims want as they already have given rights, in majority Islamic cities in the state for their religious needs, they can all move to that state and feel at home.

A majority would constitute a Christian nation.
A good 80 -90% of Americans once identified themselves as Christians.
Not all that long ago either, historically.

Then we have a different idea what the qualifying factors are. I would say an acknowledgement in our founding documents or civil laws would be required for anyone to claim this country is an 'X' nation.

Try buying porn or have your girlfriend wear a bikini in public in Saudi Arabia.
They're not a Muslim nation by your definition.
