I hope someone can answer this question for me.
Should we let someone in the USA legally own a gun who would be deemed too unstable to own one in a country like Canada simply because of the second amendment?
Are we less intelligent than Canadians?

Why does this keep happening in the USA?
Mass murder is trending these days? I hope it's not contagious.
But why only in the USA?

Someone picked up this, possibly indicating foreknowledge:

My God. And nobody reported it. We've got to be on the look out for these people.

Glad to see the cops keeping busy checking these poor kids bags when they should be getting them OUT OF THEIR..
What are they checking for now??
Is there any evidence that this photo was taken while the shooter was still active?
I am not doubting it am just asking.

I would put the blame on the people who cry about gun restrictions being too harsh. They do not want any restrictions on buying a gun and will fight tooth and nail for that right.
If mentally ill people can continue to own guns without restrictions this will continue to happen.
Say thank you for this mass shooting to the people who continue to fight less gun restrictions...NRA..and it's followers..

PRELIMINARY REPORTS OF 10 KILLED, 20 INJURED IN SHOOTING AT COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN OREGON, STATE POLICE SPOKESMAN SAYS.
Preliminary information indicates 10 people were killed and more than 20 others injured in a shooting at Oregon's Umpqua Community College on Thursday, said Oregon State Police spokesman Bill Fugate.
The reports suggest that the shooter has been detained, he said.
Earlier, authorities told CNN they were responding to reports of an active shooter at the Roseburg college campus.
Another MASS school shooting this is a big one folks..
More news just coming in now

UPDATE UP TO 15 DEAD
ktla.com...
At least 15 people were reportedly killed after an active shooter was spotted at Oregon’s Umpqua Community College.
Preliminary information indicated 10 people were killed and more than 20 were injured, Oregon State Police spokesman Bill Fugate told CNN.
TV station KATU later reported 15 people were killed, according to state police.
Wow...that is a lot of people. What is it about schools that attracts these maniacs? I just don't get it. Are they THAT wrapped up in what is going on at school?
Messed up....RIP to all those souls.
It was a "Gun free zone"
All schools in the USA are Gun free zones by law. This makes killing people easy when they won't be shooting back. Thank our legislators for it. They helped. NSA probably mind controlled someone, or someone decided to be a serious a-hole..
Even without gun free zones, most students probably wouldn't carry. I do though. No one should obey a law that removes your right to self defense.
There are colleges in the US where you can legally conceal carry handguns, along with legally keep long guns. My friend goes to a college in MT and his dorm building has a large community safe where you can keep long guns.

Send our illegals to Canada and all the gang related crime too. Let's see if it effects their intelligence. I think it would be a wonderful social experiment, don't you think?
Can we be honest about the whole "illegal immigrant" BS? There are entire industries that would collapse without the cheap/slave labor role that they fill. If the government wanted to end illegal immigration tomorrow with a stroke of the pen they could do it. And it wouldn't require a wall or moat or 10,000 armed soldiers. Simply make it illegal to use undocumented workers. Make the punishment for using illegal undocumented workers massively financially punitive. As in "if you're caught using illegal aliens on large scale you lose your business". Take away the jobs and the people coming to fulfil those jobs will stop coming and/or go home. No politician will do squat to end illegal immigration.
As for gangs, well...there are gangs everywhere. And as I stated in an earlier post, the gangs in Canada commit the vast majority of their crimes with easily attainable USA guns guns smuggled into their country.

i wonder how many of these shootings happen in countries bigger than the US that have different gun laws, or laws not based on an antiquated revolutionary times which gave all citizens the rights to bear arms... an entire era ago...
if the rights to own a weapon was omitted from the constitution i wonder.... i dont understand a 'right' to have guns. im not anti gun, but i dont see why we revolve around guns so much.
some people are going to say its the person not the gun, but how many mass stab attack occur monthly, or sniper knife thrower on the side of a highway, or 'active stabbing' drills law enforcement train for, or is there millions in knife smuggling corruptions, or knife armed robberies, or a cop accidentally using excessive knife or pepper spray force. or a guy armed with a bat and goes mental in a church with women and children.
if pro gun people ( which im neither pro or anti ) are going to say its the person not the gun, and anything can be used as a weapon etc... but when in history has someone been able to go on a campus and murder dozens with 'anything' but a gun.

The US has the worst crime rate out of any developed nation. They come in as the 45th worst country for overall crime rates on the entire planet. Even the UK, which is a tiny little island with a population of 60 million and an incredibly large population density, only comes in as the 64th worst country for crime rates. Australia is at 69 and Canada is chillin back as the 80th worst country for crime rates.

Never the less, America's murder rate is just absolutely staggering and the sole reason for that, is undeniably those stupidly laxs gun laws.
Sorry, don't mean to offend, you gotta know that I personally love American culture, as a whole... But if any of you American citizens were looking from the outside in, like us Aussies, Canadians and Pomes are, then you would realize just how idiotic you all come across as, when you all try to defend your ridiculously lax gun laws, so passionately.

As an American looking from the outside in .. what happened to the real men in Australia that decided to relinquish their responsibility to protect their families over to the government?
The conservative site Breitbart and others assert that guns were banned at UCC. This is not true. The student code of conduct bans guns "without written authorization." Under Oregon law, the university could not ban people with a valid concealed carry license from bringing their weapons on campus. (They could ban gun from various buildings and facilities.) Conservative writer Dana Loesch, who initially claimed the campus was a "gun free zone," updated her article to clarify that individuals with concealed carry permits were allowed to bring guns on campus.
There was, in fact, someone on campus with a concealed carry weapon at the time of the massacre. A local reporter explained to CNN that it was legal for him to have such a weapon on campus.
