I support universal healthcare and no taxes for the poor. I am not sure what I am supposed to be upset about.

And I support everyone receiving a unicorn to commute to work on

If you believe people will get universal healthcare while at the same time cutting taxes, then I have a bridge in my backyard that I want to sell you

We could do it though. If we actually made the parts of government we don't need a lot smaller. Do we really need 700+ Military installations and bases out there in the world? Do we really need the NSA? We could also pay congress a bit less. We could also tweak or tax laws for corporations and stop corporate welfare. We pay hundreds of millions of dollars to oil companies every year. We could do it.

And how many jobs would that cost us? The US Government is the biggest employer there is...along with the military. If you wanted to truly reduce the size of the government you would also need to create millions of jobs in other areas to offset the jobs lost.

This is just going to be a huge trainwreck come next year.

I'm sick of Trump, Clinton...Bernie Sanders not so much.

That's why I'm sticking to my guns with Vermin Supreme. What other candidate supports dental health AND a pony for every American?

Don't vote for the best, vote for the Supreme!

Who, over 13 actually believes anything that these clowns say?
Every damned election people suck down what these corrupt bastards say, and one month after realize that they are all liars!
Then, come next election, once again they suck down the swill, only to urp it up again afterwards.
Voting is like an eating disorder!
No matter who says what about what politician's lies, I can happily say that "I didn't vote for that clown!"

The more that you know, the less one partakes of the Cirque du Freak!!

Yes it can be done, cutting taxes and uni-care are possible.

No gutting military is needed either.

The medical industry as a whole is not held to consumer protection laws nor anti monopolistic, price fixing and collusion laws.

We're it done and done proper first off we'd not need government for it as costs could drop up to 80%

If we insist government cover it (I believe a mistake) then that is how to get it done.

There was a nice documentary made in the 1990s about Trump. He is a salesman and slum lord. He will do and say anything to get the job.

When he wanted a building moved so his other building would have a better view, he bought it. He then walked into the building that day and told everyone to get out. He terrorized the tenants till they left.

He hired a company who did not even have experience in demolishing a building so he would not have to pay nearly as much. The guy then went and got a bunch of Polish immigrants to work dirt cheap not knowing the building was full of Asbestos. They later got sick and sued Trump, he then tried to push it off on the guy he paid to do the demo work. He got a load of high priced attorneys and the Polish workers got nothing.

Trump is a load of hot air. Take what he says he has, cut it in two then divide by four and that is likely your real answer. He thinks what he is worth is what he can get in loans lol.

He is so arrogant he bought a home in Palm Beach Florida site unseen. He then tried to get them to relocate the air port cause it was too noisy for him. Wrong town to try that stunt in Donald. Palm Beach is old money and you will never get in that club says the community after he bought the house, they said well if you want to donate to some of our Charity's lol. You think he went for that one? Nope, they laughed him out of town.

Pressed to explain the financing of his pledges, the real estate mogul said the nation’s $19 trillion federal debt would be erased by expanding the economy, “if the economy grows the way it should grow,” and by recovering manufacturing jobs lost overseas.

How?

The same way Thatcher did it.

- Boycott all imports from Commie countries
- No minimum wage.
- Slash debt
- Privatise en masse.

I hate to say it, but part of me likes this guy. I agree we need to address immigration, the borders, the debt, our trade deficit, and many of the other issues he is putting forth. I think the media is trying to portray him negatively though and is pushing him as a racist extremist. I like he is using his own money for the election and that he is refusing donations. I dont know, Trump sounds better and better every time I hear another candidate speak. The issues presented in this thread are derailing my feelings though, if in fact they are true and what the Donald actually said. Thats just politician speak and what I hoped he wouldn't do. Making these promises in definite terms doesnt work. Have an idea for recovery, but dont start telling folks more bs than they can shovel. He still has my vote over Hillary or Jeb though.

Republican firebrand Donald Trump has promised to scrap taxes for America’s poorest and offer healthcare for all if elected president — paid for by renegotiating the NAFTA accords and picking a trade fight with China.

The Republican presidential frontrunner and billionaire businessman promises to unveil Monday what the national economy would look like under a President Trump.

In an interview broadcast Sunday on CBS News’s “60 Minutes” program, he presented an outline of that program, insisting he had a recipe for balancing the country’s books while cutting taxes across the board.

Whoa!!! Sounds like progressive pie in the sky rhetoric to me. What's next "free phones"?

How do the conservative fan boys feel about their chosen one now?

The reality television star promised to do away with President Barack Obama’s signature health reform program, and replace it with a rival plan to provide coverage for every American.

Socialist bastard...

Why use such partisan talk though???

I am not a fan of Trump because to me it's obvious he has ulterior motives. I consider myself a classical conservative and quite Libertarian also.

And guess what. A properly implemented universal healthcare system is the only sound, reaonable, logical way to have a sustainable nation full of productive people with good healthcare that doesn't cost a zillion dollars.

How do I know???

Well let's start with the fact I have spent time in 37 countries in my life.

Secondly, I am a capitalist. The capitalist system at it's ore relies on some simple principles. Principles like not being forced to buy a product/service. Charging whatever the market will bear, and competition in the marketplace.

So everyone was free to buy or not buy healthcare the old way right? No one was holding a gun to anyones head right??

WRONG. Your healthcare is your life. Your ability to produce, better yourself, contribute, innovate, build... that is all predicated on you being ALIVE, and more importantly, ABLE-BODIED. So yes, someone is holding a gun to your head when threatening you with the inability to have a healthy productive life where you can give back MORE than you take from the system, or raise your children.

How do you think Germany rose from the ashes of thorough decimation to the industrial and financial POWERHOUSE it is today???? By condemning everyone to a life of squallor, sketchy home births, rotten teeth, blurred vision, and badly repaired injuries?

The bottom line is it works. It's worked for Australia, pretty much all of modern Europe, Japan, and more importantly almost every successful modern nation, is BETTER OFF because healthcare is provided for their people, and the costs are controlled by removing dozens of layers of midle-men and profits.

And im not against profit. But when you hold a gun to someones head and make them buy your product, you are not running a business, you are a criminal.

Wow thrump is really trying to manipulate the un-informed public, his plan that promises no tax for the poor is already in place!!!!!! Poor already don't pay federal income taxes. If you make 25,000/yr or less you pay 0 in Federal Income taxes. His plan just makes it so another 5% is added to that. Also people
His plan makes it so if you make somewhere around 120,000/yr your tax will go from 45% to 25% lol Trump is not for the people, his for himself and the wealthy.

He has made alot of promises, many of them empty promises. He promises stuff he won't be able to do, so that he can get votes.

Yeah Obama promised to lower taxes too. Every election the popular candidate promises to lower taxes and everyone votes for him. Then they raise taxes and everyone is like "Wait how could this possibly happen?".

I give up. Go vote for Trump. When he becomes Obama 2.0 I don't want to hear any of you bitching about the rising tide of liberalism ruining our country.

I disagree with synopsis as presented because it dwells on a few aspects of Trumps plan rather than the whole.

The 10% capitol repatriation coming down from 35% will bring an estimated 2 trillion plus dollars back into the US economy - this will be productive capitol rather than passive as it is now = JOBS

The reduction of corporate tax from 35% to 15% will bring factories back to the US = JOBS

The top individual rate going to 25% from 39% sounds on the surface like a lot, however the elimination of loopholes and deductions means those folks will pay higher net tax bill than they do now.

Overall the plan removes road blocks and disincentive that hold economic activity back.

JOBS is what this plan is all about.

We can't have it both ways. Why should your job be paid for by my taxes? Why should I support you? I barely make enough to support myself.

Sounds good to me. The Republican Ghestapo hate the idea of helping the poor. The fact that snap programs ( food stamps ) dont cost the tax payer even a fraction to what we spend on our tyranical war machine still upsets them. What compels a person to defend the ruling class like this while not even being in the same tax bracket.... I just dont get it ? More stockholm id guess. The idea of the incredibly wealthy being treated "unfairly" is this unethical crime yet they the wealthy still live a very comfortable life. However people starving and homeless is well because "they are lazy and they are parasites who just didnt apply themselves" including veterans. Yeah , these good Christian folk always spreading jesus message smh.

Id rather be a socialist than a hypocritical sociopath

Pic related

Im still on the fence about Trump. Trump is about Trump always has been. He might rock the boat , he might be rogue to these other candidates but he is still a narcacist. Megalomania has its charm I guess. I just might vote for Sanders. I would vote Trump but the thought of voting republican would make me feel so incredibly filthy Id have to take several showers after leaving the voting booth.

People are calling his tax plan Reaganesque. The problem is that when Reagan lowered the marginal rates he simultaneously removed loopholes as well as lowering tax brackets. Basically his plan was all about lowering the top rate but broadening the tax base. Then it failed miserably and he increased taxes every single year until he left office.

His plan isn't going to work. The US right now has a revenue problem, there is very little we can do to further cut spending. Lowering taxes will lower revenues which is a recipe for disaster. To even get a deficit neutral tax cut it means you have to ask the question... if the wealthy are paying less and the poor are paying nothing who is paying more?

No...we don't have a revenue problem.

The Treasury Department released this month figures showing that federal tax revenue exceeded $3 trillion in fiscal year 2014—the first time revenue surpassed that mark.

We have a fraud and corruption problem, a government waste problem, and a bloated bureaucracy problem.
