Huh!! And here I was under the years-long impression that you were all about guns and attack and murder and slaughter.

Oh well - we've established long ago that we don't understand one another.

What are his chances? could he really get in?.

No.

Just keep telling yourself that: "There's NO WAY he could really get in."

It's a consummate reality-tv dog-and-pony show.

He's just full of hot air. In fact, I wouldn't be a BIT surprised if he turns right around and withdraws from the election process altogether, and endorses Bernie Sanders.....

The state is the root of all problems.

I believe that is an anarchist point of view, not a conservative one.

While i don't want to stumble into this No Real Scotsman fallacy that we have going on here....i would like to point out that the folks in your video are as much "paid spokesmen" as anything else.

Could be....

Capitalism and Free enterprise doesn't stop at the political front gate. We get the best government money can buy!!!

And here I am with a proclivity towards a government no money can buy.

That cuts out both the right, and left.

Take the money out of politics......

No.

I still support a strong military with a couple of caveats.

We should have a strong military. The best money can buy. Designed, and built here. We have moral obligation to. Because no matter who sits in the oval office they are always used for something.

Second one being. We also have a moral obligation to ensure the men, and women we send in harms way are being used to protect the interests of the American people. Not the self serving interest of the state.

Taking money out of politics means the left giving up their social programs they just love to buy votes with.

Still laughing now?

AH!!! And, there it is. ^^^

In my opinion (which I know you denigrate and despise), we should NOT be sending our young men and women anywhere let alone"using" them in any way.

So - I guess that's the end of 'our' effort to communicate.

I've tried. God knows, I've tried.

I'm so done with you and your attitude I can scarcely stand to type the rest of this sente

GAH.
I'm out.

Yep, I'm still laughing because I work for the GOP in their media pool and make an obscene amount of money.
That's not about to change. Elections are an industry, Campaigns are a media event and hire lots of us communication/creative writing major geeks. Nothing is going to change thru the electoral process. As much as you hate social programs; who benefits from corporate welfare? I do....I'm in my office now....chillin on ATS and gettin paid for it. You should see my secretary!!! woo woo!!

And yet every administration since FDR has used them.

Not even going to bother with the rest.

Interestingly, neo, you and I agree on a lot of your points for a "better America". I just think a strong socialist education/healthcare/economic system is the icing to the cake you're describing.

So long as they keep us bickering about the things we DON'T agree on, they can keep on ignoring the things we DO agree on. (Which, coincidentally, are the things that benefit the corporate and military complexes the way they stand now, and not us).

I obviously disagree.

There is no creation for incentives, or potential for creating long term wealth.

At best it just shuffles it around until you run out of money.

Like the UK,Spain,Greece, and the Nordic countries.

Yes, and no restrictions on firearms for the people, and unimaginable power for the people, and unlimited rice pudding for the people.

Anything to get the votes. Doesn't have to make sense - as long as it gets you the votes.

"A chicken in every pot, and a cap in every @$$."

So now we are calling out people seeking office for making campaign promises? Where was this sentiment in 2008 & 2012?

My question is who does he consider poor? Also healthcare should be redone, and all the families who have been forced into poverty to have insurance should be reimbursed.

I shake my confused head and walk away wondering how I am to afford healthcare which recently ended for me and my family because I have a bit too much in savings/college funds. Being middle class i still sort through the bargain bins for meats these days..

The middle class has taken a beating in recent years under Obummer. I had to laugh (even though it was no laughing matter) when I saw this picture circulating on Facebook where it showed the inside of two refrigerators, one packed full of food...that of a poor person, and the other with very little food and leftovers, pretty much empty...that of the middle class. It's true of America today. It's great to want to help the poor but its been at the expense of the middle class while the rich just get richer. Forced into Obamacare is ridiculous. You can't afford to be middle class anymore and Trump, despite being one of the super rich, recognizes this. GO TRUMP!

Yes, and no restrictions on firearms for the people,

Truth be told that is the way it should be.

After all murder is ALREADY illegal.

So if you are rich or poor you will have it made, but if you are one of those poor unfortunates who works for a paycheck, you will subsidize the two other groups.

Trump transcends both boundaries of the political spectrum of our country.

He is uniting us all from both sides of the aisle to join together and make America great again.

I'm being serious.

You haven't read the thread have you? Trump isn't uniting us as this thread amply illustrates. The political divisions and ideologies are just to great for America to ever be united again. The division between rich and poor grows ever wider; how can Trump seal that rift?

Trump is an ego maniac, chumping out all his fans. I'm being serious too....
