It's not religious ideas they dislike; it's just any ideas that run counter to their own aims.

I had rather have the RIGHT-WING EVANGELICALS than SHARIA LAW.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Neither belongs in politics as clearly stated over and over by the founders.

The whole history of these books [the Gospels] is so defective and doubtful that it seems vain to attempt minute enquiry into it: and such tricks have been played with their text, and with the texts of other books relating to them, that we have a right, from that cause, to entertain much doubt what parts of them are genuine. In the New Testament there is internal evidence that parts of it have proceeded from an extraordinary man; and that other parts are of the fabric of very inferior minds. It is as easy to separate those parts, as to pick out diamonds from dunghills.
-Thomas Jefferson, letter to John Adams, January 24, 1814

You want a President that will enforce the laws made by Congress. You want a President that is respected by foreign leaders not someone who rides a girl's bicycle and can't throw a baseball to home plate. You want a President that can make a deal that benefits the United States. You want a President that will protect the homeland.

The president doesn't enforce laws that's another branch called the judicial branch.

Yes I want a president respected by foreign leaders..

Don't care at all what he rides or how he throws a baseball. This isn't macho Russia.

Of course the last two points are valid.

There isn't a single politician running that is capable of any of your valid points.

That it was based off of the bible or Christianity. It was based off of enlightenment era philosophy. They want to rewrite what religious freedom is. It was also clearly the right to not believe. Which is why the court could rule on the marriage contract issue. It wasn't writing a law it was telling states they can't use religion to deny contracts to certain groups of legal ages adults.

Hey, anytime I see a pack of formerly opposed to anything that even whiffs of Christianity liberals fawning over the Pope, I have to call it as I see it.

They hate poor people, women, and people who aren't white.

Hasn't stopped you from a conversion of convenience though.

And the Pope is the Pope, and no Pontiff of mine. His opinion is just that -> opinion. We all have them just like something else.
