I Walk alone

I walk alone...
Down this broken path of cobblestone.
There is no one reaching out a hand,
Solitude is my greatest friend.

I make my way...
Through this life of sorrow and dismay.
And though I may fall from time to time,
I stand back up, I carry on.

And so I go...
To places others will never know.
Explore life's greatest mysteries,
This is how my life's to be.

I walk alone...
But this is not a tragedy,
This is how I choose to be,
A path that I have picked for me.

It is to be my destiny,
This is my destiny..

Thanks,

I hope you are well

Poetry can sometimes be a release of emotions and other times focuses them to a point where they take over and subsume us.

If only it was like a form of blood-letting, we could exsanguinate the hurt and sorrow out onto a page through the nib of a pen.
