These kinds of videos are hard to watch. I so feel for cops nowadays. The animals have taken over the zoo, complete with loud bleating and screeching, and the poor cops have to deal with them day in and day out, never knowing when there might be a stampede and his life taken in the interim. He's trying to deal with the thief who is slapping at him and screeching like a hyena all the while keeping an eye on the crowd also screeching like hyenas.

That's his job. No one made him fill out the application, no one made him go through training, and no one prevents him from seeking alternative employment. Lastly, that isn't bleating or screeching, that's just how Bostonians sound : )

Yes like this exactly.

The news caster Cenk Ugyur mentioned that something happened before the video as though it didn't matter.

I think a liquid being splashed in the police officer's face made a big impression on him.

When someone is disturbing the peace (just chill everyone!) and someone doesn't calm down, how does that cop know that there isn't more of this mystery liquid under a seat somewhere?

The officer was justified in drawing his weapon and he was honorable for holstering it when he KNEW he was not in danger (after he was able to see again - has anyone here ever got isopropyl alcohol in their eyes?)....the officer reacted perfectly to this situation. It wasn't necessarily because a crowd talked him down.

Thank you Xcathdra for filling in the information that Cenk chose to ignore for big ratings.

Ignorance on many levels here seemed to pay off, at the cost of a peaceful community and its chosen peace enforcement officer. Thank God it wasn't worse.
