Not sure about you but I can clearly differentiate between cartoons and the real world.

South Park is a show that makes fun of everyone ... so no matter what your political stance or religious stance is, eventually someone you don't like is going to be shamed on the show. It's an equal opportunity thing, we ALL can find episodes of South Park that make us laugh.

In a way, I think that's a great thing!

Fortunately, I have never watched this show.

I think we have found the root of the problem.

I don't think it is a problem to not watch such distasteful humor.

no but to be outraged over something you know nothing about is kind of an issue.

It is soooo uncool to be offended by rape and murder. If you were really hip and cool, you would get it! Don't you realize that South Park and its writers are the epitome of hip and cool and they're using "art" in the form of shock porn to make a point. What that point is, no body really knows....but hey, who cares....'cause, you know...they're hip! (major sarcasm).

Respectfully?

Should it be banned? To expand on that, how many on the Right hate the push by the Progressive left and their use of the terms "racist" and "bigot"?

I hate political correctness with a PASSION!!! Yet it is disturbing that when something is on television that some deem offensive, we resort to McCarthyism to demand it be taken off the air!

Last I remembered? If I don't like what I have on TV? I can press a button on my remote control and change the channel. Never mind the days I remember when you had to actually get off the couch and walk to the television to turn a knob.

I'm just waiting for their Mohammed episode.

(Or did that happen and I missed it...?)

Not trying to be abrasive. but like many things, context is very important. If you watched this show, you would understand the humor is in many things, mostly their ability to go over the edge of what we deem "appropriate".

The main character of the cartoon "Cartman" is loosely based on Archie Bunker. So they entire theme is anti politically correctness.

I would like to take this opportunity by the way to point out my favourite episode of all time....

The one where Cartman tricked Scott Tenorman into eating his own parents because Scott sold him some pubes.

Best...episode....ever.....

Shakespeare reference??

Ha - it was a funny episode, guy. I wasn't offended just because the media wanted me to be.

Honestly, I thought they were mocking that Canadian candidate that released a video of him riding a dinosaur or whatever, I had no idea it was supposed to be Trump. So if it weren't for Daily Mail I would have been none the wiser...!

Donald China, Choina, Choiiinah Trump... whatever. He's the butt of many jokes (even the President gets in on that bandwagon, see below) and I doubt (unfortunately) even a cartoon depiction of him being raped and #ed to death will stop him on his presidential crusade. The guy needs to be taken down a peg. Make that 5 pegs. Outside of America, I'm pretty sure he is seen as just one big joke.

Not at all

The problem is all the wannabe dictators, who want to dictate what the rest of us are allowed to think, say, watch, feel and do
I personally think those people are distasteful, and i hope South Park will round them all up in camps and rape them all to death... But i DO have distasteful humor, so thats that

But like you, i just dont watch things i dont like, and i stay away from the "dictator" people, who think theyre way, is the only way

I can't believe people are even still watching that show. It lost its charm on me in the 90's. Parker and Stone must be nearly brain dead by now from huffing so much acetone.

They have swayed from their usual week by week creation of the show and this season looks like they are following a much longer script. As if they have an outline already for the coming episodes

the first one last week I did not laugh once and was feeling sad for Victoria

last nights I could not stop laughing

that garrison has been put through the ringer and has shown himself to be a real scrapper

one can easily see that kyle is a ticking time bomb now

No different than some of the political threads with manufactured outrage because it is an opposing political view?

Storm has 13 years on me, and that's why I said, "Respectfully".

Social Engineering and Political Correctness at it's best?

There is no such thing as the 1st amendment when it only applies to what you, I or anyone else believes in.

& during the Mel Gibson "we want our 20 dollars back" episode there was about 15 different Jew stereotypes in the synagogue scene alone...

"Ohh, this is teer-a-bawl".

That's good to know, but I wasn't talking to you, Dick!

Not a South Park fan I take it?

ETA: You obviously have watched. I think Dick was doing the whole Canadian, 'I am not your friend, pal. I am not your pal, buddy. I am not your buddy, guy' routine.

Then if that's the case I fully apologise to Dick and South Park lovers...

I've only seen about half the available seasons, been catching up lately though.

Thanks, Augustus...
& Sorry, Dick. My bad.
