Unfortunately - what you have saved there are the actual thumbnails which are 100 x 177 pixels in size and consequently too small to make out. Go back to the originals (hopefully you can find them) and open them up to their full size and then save those.

As an example - my avatar there is 200 pixels in width by 440 pixels long - you want to save your images around the 550 x 550 mark.
