Shut Up Already
That stupid alarm! It's shouting again.
Telling me to wake up, it's half past ten.
I lift my head, stare it straight in the eyes,
Tell it to shut up, or it will meet its demise.
It falls silent, for a minute or two,
Then it does, what all alarm clocks do.
It waits until, I'm almost back to sleep,
Then starts over, with its annoying beep.
Hello alarm clock, please meet the wall.
I don't want you, to wake me up no more.
I would be grateful, if you would just break,
Your sound is more, than any human can take.
The magician with a skillful hand,
They keep you focused, where they can.
An illusion that you can't see through,
You see only, what they want you to.
A musician that is masterful,
Plays songs that command your soul.
Each note played so expertly,
The music becomes, all that you see.
A writer who wields his words well,
Can manipulate, how you feel,
They can bring you down or inspire you,
Make you change, your point of view.
A painter who has a creative mind,
Can keep you enthralled, by his design.
Standing before it fascinated,
Wondering how and why they made it.
It is the people that do these things,
They are what, we find amazing.
All this art, coming from their head,
Leaving us awestruck and captivated.
