whell basically it all comes down to the knowledge of good and evil.
Without one, the other wouldn't exist. thered be nothing to compare the other too if only one existed and the other did not.

The Universe seems to be fined tuned when looked at a certain way, if evil exists within it would that be fine tuned into reality as well or predestined even?

as far as we know - if there was a truly omnipotent god then presumably it would be able to create a universe where there is good without evil.

Yes, but the good would not be appreciated because there would be nothing to compare it to. The universe is finely balanced, you can't have one without the other or the whole thing falls apart. Yeah if a religious God existed he probably could do that, but religious God's aren't the true one.

you miss the point - an OMNIPOTENT god could make good appreciated in such a universe - because that is what OMNIPOTENT means - able to do ANYTHING............even stuff that appears nonsensical to us in this universe.

Good and evil are relative, there is no one definite good or evil. Ignore good and evil and see them on the same spectrum then good and evil are eliminated. You can only believe in good and not evil or vice versa, that's the omnipotence of the mind in action.

Why can't an omnipotent god make something different to that?

Make something different from the way it is? I don't know, why didn't he make a universe made of lollipops and ice cream cones? The universe is perfect just the way it is.

Lollipops and icecream cones?? Or you could think about the question seriously.....

And yet evil exists??

OK - well good luck with that......

The way the universe is requires duality. If you take evil away you take balance away. Yes, evil is a part of the perfection of the universe.

There are trillions of atoms making up your fingernail alone, imagine how many are within the entire universe. It's unfathomably complex yet works exactly how it should. Yeah, the universe IS perfect, I'm sorry you can't see it. It's a beautiful thing to realize.

Think about it for a second, the world we live in is so corrupt and so full of lies and deception and suffering that it MUST be hell.

I thought about it, and knowing that a world cannot be corrupt, nor full of lies, I have concluded that said thought is without merit. People can be corrupt and full of lies, surely, but then what does that say of you? Are all humans this way? and you by association guilty? If so, then it seems you are a literal hell, corrupt and full of lies. If not, you should reconsider your argument.

Good and evil are reserved for us Godlike beings called humans. Before us there was just nature. Animals killing each other , breeding and living their lives. With consciousness and choice comes the ability to create evil and good. Blame free will. An omnipotent God creating beings of reason I don't think could create a universe where their choices are taken away. Maybe we could create robots that can't hurt people in their programming . We are organic , though. We have no one to blame but mankind, and thirst for power of kings and politics. Many a messiah have come and gone trying to preach their answer to the great question and make things better for the rest of us. God gave us power, and with great power comes great responsibility . Maybe we need another 1,000 years to go by to get to a Utopia . Turn on the news, see people flip out. God didn't do that , he/she/it just planted the seed.

"The only way to change things is to unify as one people, but those in power do everything they can to prevent this from happening, and they've done a brilliant job so far."

Many of influence have orchestrated a truly brilliant scheme, that is for sure! Even regarding the most "heinous" of them, they must be approached with a view of understanding and compassion. Truly, that which the banking systems, corporate actions, military campaigns, and governing authorities have molded our reality to be, the actuality is, that, which they wrought, is also within our own selves. Egotism, greed, selfishness, and apathy exists within us all, even if in the most minute and minuscule of degrees. If the potential for evilness and wickedness did not exist within ourselves, we would not see it in the outer world.

The utmost of human ugliness exists within us all, as too does the utmost of love exist within the "inhumane" influential individuals. We perpetuate struggle, so long as we view those of influence as separate from, and alien to, ourselves,... the solution exists, not with us and them, but exists within we.

What does this mean? Well, to me, it means to observe and understand my self,... observe and understand the outer world,... and recognize the outer disease as a thing to perfect within, and by doing so, this act of perfecting a quality, then in turn effects the greater world. Where I see Hell, I cultivate a Heaven.

Though monetary value is often disproportional, our lifestyle choices and the goods/services supported with our personal patronage and money, does in fact, effect the corporate and monetary systems. When we strive in our daily lives to be present within the moment, to live, to help, to be compassionate, to be happy, to cultivate peace, and support the goods/services of companies that also aspire to the positive, we actively contribute to building a more beautiful world.

"We", as a collective, have sat idle in the affairs of the world for too long. Regarding the systems in place, we have centuries to catch up to. But it profoundly starts with the conscious revolution, and/or, evolution, of the individual. Once this occurs, natural love and compassion blooms. This newly found peace, collectively, will reconcile nearly all of the "man-made" struggles and sufferings. We won't need to point fingers or condemn others. We will actively "Be", in unity, and walk in peace together.

One mankind,... one love,... one with nature,... one within self,... one with existence,... that is the true way to peace.
