I thought we did pretty good in world war 1 and 2

Also , the world seems to love our financial and food aid........

People like to paint the US as this horrible nation, but were number 1 in the world for Humanitarian aid, not only by our government but from private entities ..........

just saying

Never called your Nation horrible.

But talking about 'your' financial aid as the most indebted country in the world, is a pretty bold statement.
Anyway, sorry for going off topic.

And yet when we don't there is a steady of chorus of how horrible we are for not doing it.

Look at this one, for example.

Plenty of people criticizing us for not taking in our "fair share" of refugees.

Did pretty well in world war 2...il take that one as a joke as it must have been intended. Destabilising countries and annexing regions in land that is not your own is fine when you supply food and finances.

So even Germany has finally thrown in the towel.

'We can't take any more!' Germany stops ALL trains from Austria as they reintroduce border controls and temporarily suspend Schengen Agreement "

The UK still defends its border.
All good here. Hopefully we'll all now start protecting these folk in the safe nations they are at.
You know, throw massive resources towards Turkey, Lebanon, and Jordan.
That is a sensible option.

That would be Britain actually

Sykes -Picot WW!

The Sykes–Picot Agreement, officially known as the Asia Minor Agreement, was a secret agreement between the governments of the United Kingdom and France,[1] with the assent of Russia, defining their proposed spheres of influence and control in the Middle East should the Triple Entente succeed in defeating the Ottoman Empire during World War I. The negotiation of the treaty occurred between November 1915 and March 1916.[2] The agreement was concluded on 16 May 1916.[3]

The agreement effectively divided the Arab provinces of the Ottoman Empire outside the Arabian peninsula into areas of future British and French control or influence.[4] An "international administration" was proposed for Palestine.[5] The terms were negotiated by the French diplomat François Georges-Picot and Briton Sir Mark Sykes. The Russian Tsarist government was a minor party to the Sykes–Picot agreement, and when, following the Russian Revolution of October 1917, the Bolsheviks exposed the agreement, "the British were embarrassed, the Arabs dismayed and the Turks delighted."[6]

When pray tell during WW2 did we destabilize anyone that wasnt a hot bed of the German front? A bit off topic

Interesting how its come back around to Germany though

What is so immoral about supporting these people in safe places like Turkey?
I've said many times I'd be happy for an extra 1% on income tax to pay for it, that would raise £5.5 Billion from the UK alone, would provide excellent conditions for people in the region.

No, too many people think that the only answer is to move everyone to the EU, absolutely ridiculous. There are other options, and if anything it was immoral to say to people "Make the dangerous crossing over the Med' and we'll take you in" - that encouraged more folk to risk their lives.

Turkey is not a war zone, British people are on holiday there right now as I type this.
EU nations could have supported the folk in Turkey. Germany #ed up.

Yeah, Turkey, the safe haven..get real man. Please stop peddling utter nonesense about Turkey being a safe haven. Brits on Holiday and all that. The truth is The UK has issued a travel warning and the Turkish tourist industry is on the bones of it's arse right now. Please Cease peddling mince.

Refugee center burned?
Those crazy right-wing, uh, the refugees started the fire?
They are trying desperately to twist this to make it look like a humanitarian crisis and anyone speaking out against it to be xenophobic and backwards.

Syria will remain Syrian, as will Afghanistan, Algeria, Pakistan and several other countries refuges are pouring in from. Sadly Germany will not remain German for long. Not at this rate nor will the rest of Europe.

After WW1 Germany was broken up and many parts taken by other countries.
After WW2 we split Germany in 2 and left one side Democratic and the other Communist.
No sooner had Germany regained her status as the #1 economic power in Europe than suddenly this refugee crisis pops up.
I see a pattern here of taking down Germany every time it grows too powerful.

Nothing has changed in Syria, it's still a low-level conflict as it has been for over 2 years.
Why the sudden crush of humanity swamping Europe and especially Germany?
Wait for the problem - reaction - solution once again.
I believe they know an economic crash is unavoidable and want the people to have someone else to fight against rather than the elite rulers of the EU and their banker cronies.
Digital currency, RFID and biometric security standards are coming.
They are making a crisis to ensure it happens.
