What do you think about this video of UFO's appearing on radar?
Don't copy the entire youtube link to embed, just the part after "="
How much does the average driver know about the design details of what's under the car's hood? Not much.
How much does the average air traffic controller know about radar design? Not much.
I suspect the answer in the comments section could be an explanation:
talk to your radar specialist (maintenance). He will adjust your secondary radar (SSR) to avoid "mirror effect". If i'm not wrong, only a target
with secondary answer apears on your screen (according to the symbol that appears: a circle). Give him the posição and he will adjust the ground
equipment.
Whenever you get flaky readings like that which appear and disappear, it seems far more likely to be an equipment problem than some kind of aircraft
phasing in and out of existence, because we know how those effects can happen when the equipment needs adjustment, but we don't know how aircraft can
phase in and out of existence. The only time you might get something like that with a real aircraft that I know of is if you're at the extreme limits
of the range of the radar, and that doesn't seem to be the case in that video, so, it is most probably a spurious reflection or something along those
lines.
