Windows 7, 64-bit not installing Windows Updates.

I had the problem not so long ago. An excellent little program called Tweaking.com fixed it. I think the problem was with the Windows installer was not working.

Also try AnyCleaner, it fixed a mjor issue with my computer but I dont know what it was but the computer was as slow as christ.

Well....I just tried to install two updates....and they were successful.
While I appreciate those who offer the suggestions to try tweaking.com and other methods.....if the problem were with something in the registry...seems like those updates would not have happened.

I tend to think and agree with those who say this is something at the M$ end.

Trying two more now...we'll see.....

ETA
they have now d/l and are installing as well.

Thanks.
As frustrating as it was, you always wonder if something got corrupt, you did something wrong, some malware got through.

For it to be b/c M$ is doing SOMEthing...or not doing something at their end.....sucks.
If this is some sort of way to "encourage" the switch to 10...it's not working.

I still get messages that I can download windows 10 for free. I don't want it. I'm happy with my 8.1 and don't have any desire to change that.

I unreserved my copy of 10....and took that little white Windows icon in the task bar and set it to "hide icon and notification"....out of sight, out of mind

I'll decide next year.

So, today I open Windows Update....just for laughs and giggles.

Guess what?
Right there in OPTIONAL updates is Windows 10, just waiting to be installed.
Even though I put the last two updates in HIDDEN.
Even though I un-reserved my copy of Win 10!!!

Just WOW!!!!!!!
