Amazing all this anachronistic anti-socialism rhetoric.

Every successful country in the world has a mixture of capitalism AND socialism

Germany is very successful and many of the Scandinavian countries have heavy doses of socialism but also have heavy capitalistic aspects to them.

The key is to form a balanced mixture of the best of both systems and not get to much of either to the exclusion of the other.

There’s no country in the world with a pure capitalist system

The only system like that was something in the past called feudalism

Humankind, thank God, has evolved out of that

And human kind could go back into it if the wealth keeps pilling only towards the top...

Your right, we need a good percentage of capitalism and socialism! The way I see it, everything that's essential for the overall well being of the population should be socialized.

-Basic housing, how could we ever call ourselves an evolved society if some can't even have the decency of having a rook over their heads
-Basic education, do we want a world of ignorance of knowledge? What's better in the end? Surely not profits.
-Basic nutrition and clothing, no out should die from hunger in 2015, it's absurd.
-The justice system, profits don't meld well with justice and prisons
-Social services, we need basic systems to get the rest flowing effectively
-Basic transportation, nothing fancy but ecological and pratical
-Power, we need to stop thinking profits, this is part of what makes everything else flow
-Medicine, the tab should be 100% without profits and socialized medicine top to bottom would focus on prevention much more than our failed system does now
-Money creation, this power does NOT belong in private hands

The rest and everything that's higher than basic needs, capitalize it all you want! There needs to be incentive for the population to give more of their time and to pursue individual goals.

But a socialism based society is the future of efficiency and freedom of the individual.
It's logically inevitable if humanity pursues to thrive for ages.

The elite profit from a mix of socialism and capitalism. America's resources can be diverted through a corrupt Congress into any socialist endeavor the elite can profit from through capitalism.

With no government oversight and a U.S. populace that has been dumbed down and is unable to compete in a capitalist free market economy, why wouldn't Congress be pulling for a socialist/capitalist mix?

I don't think it's rhetoric to say the federal government -- especially Congress -- is flat out corrupt. They have proven they are time and again.

Is it unreasonable to ask for REAL government oversight reform BEFORE foraying further into socialism? Until there are check and balances in place to prevent Congress from diverting America's precious financial resources into endeavors that personally profit those spending the money, then I am not ready for any more 'socialism.' I haven't forgotten the phantom districts that benefitted from Obama's stimulus plan and Sanders has proposed giving Congress a stimulus check for a trillion dollars.

I have no confidence that socialist dollars will be invested in the people. Why should I? I could get on board with socialism if the proper checks and balances were in place. I used to identify as a socialist but years of watching government abuse has turned me off. And as someone who wanted to buy into the Affordable Care Act, I have found that the federal government has become nothing but a sleazy insurance company.

It is a good time to remember the fact that Socialism, just as Maggie Thatcher pointed out, is fine till you run out of others peoples money.

THE REAL PROBLEM IS:

Corruption in politics has overcome the ability of law enforcement to stop them because the corrupt NOW apparently CONTROL the system. If the FBI, Security Exchange Commission or local law enforcement don't charge these criminals for the obvious crimes such as the fractional banking fraud, and they get to continue walking freely to do their deeds, we have no society to save. In fact, we are now basically economic slaves to be bled at will.

As an Environmental Scientist i am CONVINCED that the man made global climate change is a hoax. Bernie Sanders is not on my team, he believes the lies and ignores the truth of this matter. If any try to study this closely, they will find references from the cadre of IPCC that state the real goal was to 'redistribute wealth". As a professional data analyst, the allowable percent error of the data set alone is higher than the expected temperature increases. Meaning the modeled (tweaked to fit) data is meaningless statistically. And now ice is growing rapidly on both poles as world temps have basically flat lined when CO2 has climbed to a small percentage of its highest concentrations.

These type of scams are taking us down one step at a time. If we don't get the crooks sorted out at these highest levels, the whole world will suffer. I say this because i feel that the mere existence of a place such as the USA that was created to be, really represents HOPE for the downtrodden. HOPE that any person, no matter their humble beginning, can become wealthy and live a decent life.

DO WE WANT a chance for decent lives for all or do we want to be sheep awaiting our time to be killed? Freedom is certainly not free to all who have it, there are sacrifices by many that made it possible.

Bottom line, if you vote for Bernie I think you are helping usher in the finishing off of our society as we know it.

Bush - Vagina
Clinton
Bush - Vagina
Obama

Gotta be Trump next
www.urbandictionary.com...

Northern to midlands slang for a fart, expelling of wind from the anus.

Sorry Bernie, you get it next time before they elect president Ronald Harold "Ron" Johnson after you...

I like what Bernie has to say about the banks and the Fed, but he clearly misses the real point.

Government perpetuated, and aided the criminal bankers and corporate oligarchs in creating this mess (possibly on purpose). He is a Senator, is he not? This all happened on his watch and he said nothing.

Bernie's solution? More government. More of what created the problem. That's exactly what we don't need in a future President.

Rand Paul stood for an entire day railing and gnashing teeth for what he believes in. Bernie mumbles something about government handouts here and there.

Jesse, you are so quick to decry both parties, but now you support someone who wants to grow the monstrosity.

Your position is vexing, to say the least. Hopefully it's not the Mexican water causing your confusion.

I agreed with you until you got on Rand Paul's bandwagon.

Rand Paul took advantage of a situation to look like a hero. He's an opportunist dirt bag like the rest. He knew the Patriot Act was going to be let go for the new USA Freedom Act. Where the hell was he fighting this one? He didn't and hasn't said one word. He voted "Nay" in 2014 and then grandstanded against the Patriot Act which he knew was about to die and be replaced.

If any of you think that any of these clowns are worth a vote you are absolutely delusional.

You are probably right on the money. I won't be voting for Paul, either.
