US Demands Greece Block Russian Flights To Syria, Russia Demands Answers as Greeks Oblige

All you have to do is look at history, full blown bombing/shooting wars have almost always been preceded by economic wars. And the U.S. has been actively engaged in some major economic warfare with Russia for over a year now. Not to mention other stuff like a 4 star general going on record saying, "Sending Russians home in droves of body bags" was what the US needs to start doing in Ukraine. That clip has had no airtime on the airwaves in the US, but Russian TV has had a field day playing that clip over and over on their news for their populace to see.

10 years ago, I would have found the prospect of a Russia/US WWIII laughable.

10 years ago, I would have also found the idea of a race war and total econimic collapse laughable.

The Greek government wont stop the Russian aid flights just because the US demanded it.

Our country might be in a financial crisis, but we're a sovereign country which still reserves its right to make its own decisions.

And FYI, before taking out of your backside how about a quick Google search..had you done that, 2 days ago you would have known that the government DENIED the US request.

Russian aircraft are free to fly over Greece and even stop in Greece, as long as they submit the necessary paperwork flight plans etc and comply with international law, which when flying in/over Greece or within the Athens FIR they always do.

The economic situation has absolutely NOTHING to do with Greece and America cooperating.
Some of really need to stop trying to create fantasies to suit your warped ideas and views of the world and what's happening in it.

Greece is a member of NATO.
Greece is a long time ally of the USA.
Greece and America have cooperated on many things for a long time. Even the development of UAVs in the 1970s.

Greece denied the US request anyway. So what's your new theory now that your old one is nullified?

Greece has an interim leadership anyway in the run up to the elections. Bet you didn't know that either.
