I watched 10 minutes of it earlier on, the most boring sport ever, thank # for rugby.
Watch Argentina v Australia in the rugby world cup, it's on right now, again in London, 20 minutes left if you're quick.
That's if you enjoy real mens sport of course lol

My husband and his roommates made a sport out of watching rugby one summer when they were in college. It was the house game to try to guess what the heck they were doing since none of them knew any of the rules.

Heh, I used to think that until I did two things: played intrahouse flag ball for my scholarship house in college and played football on the playstation. Then I started to see how the various formations on both sides of the ball worked against each other.

Football is more like a living chess match with some full contact. It depends on all the guys the field trusting the other 10 guys are going to be exactly where each scheme says they are going to be, and the playbooks can be as large as phonebooks with each team/coach having its own often with both the offense and defense learning entirely different sets of plays.

There really is a lot there strategically, but if you aren't familiar with it to at least some degree, it can be a lot like watching paint dry and make no sense.

I imagine it's like sitting down and trying to pick up cricket out of the blue.

I shall consider the game with a different mindset from now, still won't be watching it anytime soon though.

And agreed about cricket, I never played it at school, don't watch it, and haven't a clue what the scoring means when it's read out on the news. I was born and grew up in Wales though, only ball I ever played with was a rugby ball.

Week 7 is in the books. I personally did not get to watch any football, listened to the F#in Lions Game on the radio while working on fencing in some yard.

This weeks winner is none other than ketsuko with 11 wins... Talk about overachieving lol...
