It is something I noticed about the big asteroids that go by, they in themselves might not be close to the earth, but it seems like smaller pieces might be following or before them that are closer, sometimes entering the atmosphere.

Amazing, you'd be gutted to know that was viewable in your area but didn't catch it.

Why doesn't there appear to be a debris cloud or contrail that I can see, is this possibly due to the distance away or burn up altitude?

The one bolide I was lucky to see, didn't leave any trail.

I can sort of understand at night, I just thought they all leave some trail of its path in burn up. Maybe just the distance.

I think it was Nibiru fizzling out.

This is definitely a bolide. I saw one like this once back in 1973 late at night. Fairly rare phenomena, but when you see one, you NEVER forget it. The one I saw lit the entire sky up like it was daytime, then broke apart into fragments that were pink white and green and finally faded out. It was AWESOME.

Satellite or Meteorite.....either way it's cool!

Ive been lucky enough to see three in my 40 years...but then im always lookign up. All during the day. Not this big but def bolides.

Ha, yeah I reckon that's possibly taking it a bit far

There was a piece of space junk called FLOCK 1B-11 that decayed around that time but it was on the opposite side of the bay of bengal and was only a cube sat, so I doubt it was that. Plus the angle of re-entry seems wrong.

So, unless it was the conspiracy of the century and X-47B is de-orbiting foreign satellites, most evidence therefore points to a meteorite.

You guys should have a crash course in video cutting/animation/after effects, as soon as you get comfortable with the subject matter you can easily dismiss real footage from CGI (not trying to attack someone, as part of my education I learned this stuff so it's easy for me to distinguish between real or fake).

Can you give the rest of us some pointers on some obvious things to look for in a fake and real video..like some differences, or have or have nots or something.
