It makes sense because according to our laws they are to be deported.

Can you cite that law, please?

They have no legal rights because the criminality od crossing the border without permission. its tresspassing.
It's a misdemeanor.

No its nto cause they look different its because they broke th e law getting here.
And no due process because?

So when it comes to the NSA and all the bitching and moaning about what they do and their reasoning of "if you have nothing to hide you don't have to worry" we lose our minds, and rightfully so.

But pass a law that infringes on that same right but on a person to person basis and we are fine...

If you are for laws like this, how could you possibly be against any sort of gov spying on citizens?

Crossing a international border is a FELONY TRESSPASS not a misdemeanor. ALso Immigration laws dictate they be deported and you know this SO I dont need to cite it. And Due process does not have a time limit on it. Its obvious they broke the law crossing over the border. If we wanted to be jerks we could shoot them dead as invaders but we dont.

False. Unless one does so after having been deported.

False. You do have to.

Its obvious they broke the law crossing over the border.
How do you know they crossed the border illegally? You know that many who are here illegally crossed the border legally, right?

No, we could not.
What world do you think we live in?

Every one on US soil gets due process, the constitution says that clear as day.

So continue to take the rights we have.

And you call your self a libertarian!

Sorry you had your ID stolen, but news flash this law doesn't do a darn thing to prevent that so not sure what it has to do with anything.

It is simply amazing to me that many of those in this thread that are in favor of everyone having to "show their papers" self-identify as "conservatives".

True conservatives demand minimal intrusion by the government into a citizen's day to day life.

This has a definite whiff of fascism to it. And we all know that fascism is far left wing, right?

But all this is a result of big government failure.

Big U.S. Government failure, and big government failures in other countries.

An ultra-small government would not attract the "illegal" activities in the first place.

Actually ITS a FELONY if you do it TWICE. SO were both half right.
Crossing the United States border without US Government authorization or failing to honor the terms of authorized forms of entry, such as tourist visas, represent the most common means of violation.

Under the Immigration and Nationality Act illegal entry into the US constitutes a misdemeanor for first-time offenders, while persons who have been shown to repeatedly enter the US can be charged as felonys.
Entering the US for seasonal employment without proper government authorization is also normally classified as illegal immigration, even when the individual plans to return to their country of origin when their employment ends.

How? Would the 'ultra-small' gov not have the jobs that the people want and companies looking for the cheapest labor they can find?

Love how you turn a law,of conservative nature, out of a highly conservative area into a big gov failure. Spin master 9000 at it again.

You think your ideal small gov wouldn't pass a law like this?

And there isn't 'nothing' fascist about having to show our papers everywhere else in modern day life.

Which is confusing rights with privileges.

The gun issue is a right agreed.
Think there is more to that tho, as in routes to go that you don't have to show your ID every time but this isn't the thread for that.

There is nothing more too it. Other than society already having a law that says a person can't kill another so they write another law that says a person has to show ID based on the actions of what someone else did that was in a violation of an already exiting law.

Then turn around tell me I have to obey that ID law, and IGNORE the other law says a person has to knock and ask for permission to come in to this country.

That is some EPIC cognitive dissonance.

Law is again the very foundation of this entire society. Now if people really want to live in a country where everyone gets to pick and choose which laws they want to follow, and ignore others.

I am all for it.

This country is in dire need of some consistency.

I know what deportation is but I'm not sure you do.
Show me what law requires it as a penalty for illegal entry.
