If we come across primitive extraterrestrials how will it take before humanity start enslaving them? Space exploration is a double edge sword. Who knows this space fleet may have an expeditionary force that pretty much did just that in a far off planet.

I will just put this put out there... I posted a thread a few years ago about government commercials and photos that are completely dismissable as fiction but are mixed in with factual images... as if the info is put out there to get a response, and no one responds.

2 moons...

"..spaceships...starships..." ok with space ships but starships?

"It's not science fiction". Truth in advertising maybe?

Um don't get too excited. Saying "starships" does not necessarily mean sci-fi, faster than light, warp drive stuff.

The following study was done back in the 1980s on a mission that would take around 100 years to get to Alpha Centauri, the nearest star system to our solar system:

NASA Archive: Project Longshot

And then there is this study/proposal of an interstellar precursor mission to the Sun's gravitational lens around 750AU (about 1/100th a lightyear) away.

Since both of those would go into interstellar space they qualify as "starships".

well we do sorta. just google private spacecraft. we have at least 6 or seven different types of space capsule or plane.

NASA Orion Capsule
Space X Dragon
Boeing CST-100
Blue Origin Shepherd
Dream chaser (is still a thing)
ARCA Space Corporation
Armadillo airspace
Xcor Lynx
Virgin Galactic
Bigelow Airspace Space stations

to name just a few. remember the private asteroid miner could become a thing.

.....

Add a two-stage-to-orbit spaceplane similar to an X-37b and a three-astronaut Air Force materials
research lab Hidden in a large spy satellite....Did THAT get yer attention?

Meh! ......

Hmmmm....i wonder if it would be bad form
For me to print its orbital trajectory here and
Offer up a rather Closeup photo of it via a
gyroscopicaly stabilized and light-field
recalculated 16k by 16k ccd array
Image map......? Hmmmmmm..

leaving aside anomoulous effects from space drives and portals and addressing the visuals... there are hundreds of astronomers looking for near earth asteroids. these are much smaller than the Reagan yet they find them often using long exposures or other techniques.

And darker.

And said amateurs often operate their own quite sizeable observatories. They do not all data mine as tanka says. But I'm afraid facts like these won't persuade those who want to believe in secret space navies without a shred of credible, testable evidence.

Are you talking about the DynaSoar and the MOL?

Neither were ever launched. Duh.

probably not referring to dynasoar. there are current projects for those sorts of things. E.G. REL corp Skylon/Sabre in the UK. thats an SSTO horizontal launch space plane. The USAF just got some sort of agreement with them WRT Skylon or at leastthe engine technology. there are similar TSTO schemes. The U.S military has at least aspirational will to develop manned TAV planes for rapid reaction anywhere in the world. "aspirational" will means they want to do it and would if they could afford it but probably can't.

take him up on it. He appears to be saying there is such a plane and such a satellite up there now and is offering the looking coordinates or photographs.

OMG is our equipment ever good!!! 560 Teraflops
Of GPU horsepower...and....basically the most
POWERFUL grid processing and multithreaded
Imaging Expert Systems Library ever created.
Aka Midgrid !!!! 70 million lines of pure imaging
SUPERPOWER !!!!

Somebody got caught doing a personnel transfer
By accident on a 64k ccd astronomical imaging system that was being lightfield refraction/diffraction checked using an
atmospheric laser...same area of space!
An accidental imaging tho....

RIght. I was just very curious if someone claiming such is operational already along with an orbiting lab (which should be somewhat easier to pin down) might have been talking about something which was planned back in the 1960s or something operating currently.

I wonder if they are confusing Bigelows habitats or the Tiangong-1 (Chinese Space Station) for the secret orbiting lab?

My guess its one of the abandoned Corona/keyhole sats Pushed up to higher orbit...not all were deorbited...specifically
polar orbit Kamchatka imaging field specifially....
Hope that helps
