Now you're just moving the goalposts.
You're just trolling as per usual.
Read my last post - you said that it was my opinion that this was one lone woman acting AGAINST the government, but it's not my opinion, those are the facts of this case.

Ayn Rands bunny strikes again.

Pffft.

Classless.

I'm out.

You are holding out that marriage is not a matter for government to be involved in; it should be private. Correct?

You are also saying, that because it has been made a matter of government, that Kim Davis' actions are "in the wrong" because she's keeping two people from wedding each other as should be their individual right.

Right?

Not at all. Government's job should be to hand out licenses. NOT determine who gets one.

I'm saying that she, Kim Davis, that woman from Kentucky (not to confuse her with any other woman named Kim Davis living and or having lived in Kentucky) misused her authority as a government servant. That she did wrong.

A boo-boo.

A naughty.

She abused her authority.

You guys don't want to talk, you just want to hate.

I'm done.

I'm out of here!

If you don't want to be asked to kill people, you don't join the armed forces.

If you can't stand other peoples driving, then it would be stupid to be a driving instructor.

If cooking for other people isn't your thing, then you'd be nuts to be a chef

If giving two people of the same sex a marriage licence isn't your thing, them being a clerk in an office that is mandated to give out such things is stupid.

And that's what this boils down to.

She can have all the belief she wants, but she is a public servant in a public service job, and the law states that she has to give out the licences, without exception.

She isn't being persecuted for her beliefs, because quite simply she doesn't have to have the job.

Thanks for the clarification.

Have a scotch or some candy ... you seem ... overwrought.

It's just us. Even if we fight and throw things, we're still family of a sort.

No one is hating.

Disagreement is not hating.

And I don't even think everyone is disagreeing with you.

Feel better.

Crony politics and Crony capitalism is our fight my friend.
Wink.Wink..

Public service is a tradition in her family. When she won last year’s general election, she took over from her mother, Jean Bailey, who had served in the job for 37 years.
And Davis’s son, Nathan, began working in the Rowan County Clerk’s office in January.
Th e Morehead News

This is a good example of Crony Politics failure.

This is a perfect example of a government authority (illegally) determining the rights for the individuals.

Not on your page.

14th amendment - - - everyone treated equally.

If anyone is trying to determine a Right - - its Kim Davis. She's wrong. She's where she belongs.

Where do we draw the line between religious belief and mere claims to religious belief?

That's a question the courts are likely going to be forced to settle.

I'm sure it's just crap. Last desperate attempts to win this case.

Rowan County Attorney Cecil Watkins has previously dismissed that argument, saying deputy clerks can issue valid marriage licenses without the approval of their boss.

I think it was the Liberty Council that tried to win one of the bakery cases too. Anyway, one of those.

They lost those cases too.

But what about all of the outsourced manufacturing jobs? What about them out of jobs when they didn't expect a shift? She was groomed for 25 years for the job. You can't expect her to just pack up her belongings and move out can you?

I think it's just a case of someone playing the victim card like Kim Davis is trying to pull. My prediction is that when all this settles out...Kim will claim that Christian law overrides any law made by mankind. She will be the Far Rights new martyr and run for Governor or AG just to prove a point.

BREAKING: Attorney for jailed Kentucky clerk says same-sex marriage licenses issued Friday are void

www.chicoer.com...

There must be something in place to make up for a Clerk who would be incapacitated or something?

Like a Deputy Clerk to act in the absence of the Clerk?

Welcome to Rowan County

I honestly don't know.

But, I doubt anyone is going to invalidate those marriage licenses issued today.
