Never had sympathy pains or morning sickness for our kids.

I did get to do the 3 am feedings though..

Best time I ever had.

Rocking and feeding the little ones.

Still my favorite memories.

I'd love to have more, but got snipped after the last child was born.

I'm old, but never too old for babies.

So you really can milk anything with nipples.

That's sweet though (in a manly way).

I've taken care of 2 pregnant women, made midnight runs for whatever they were craving and got a very close up view of 3 C Sections. Got to cut the cord on 2 and handle the after birth on 1. I literally know my wife inside and out. That's close enough for me.

Depends on the person.

Family [with dog] went to visit friends with dog. Both dogs go out into the woods and get sprayed by skunks. Dogs come back howling and #ting all over the house.

Parents deem children as the cleanup crew and partnered us off. My partner would throw up scooping up crap and then I would throw up. And then we had to clean up THAT if we couldn't get to the bathroom fast enough...

Damn vicious cycle - gad I haven't thought about that in decades.

My Husband and my pregnancy? --- blood guts and gore never affected him on the job .... EMICT [emergency medical intensive care technician] kinda like an EMT on steroids.

Blood? I'm going to pass out. Thank god I had to have a c-section. My husband however [allowed in surgical room because of his experience] was happy as a clam. Most men don't get to watch c-sections.

I'll give him that - I didn't want any part of it. I was cursing him and everybody in the room..... as they put me out into never never land.

Humans who have had normal emotional development can be "infected" by what another person is feeling. Here's an article on how happiness and sadness are contagious.

www.wired.com...

I see no reason why that couldn't also expand to something as significant as sickness from pregnancy.

That is cute, I heard it happens, but I had two children and had the worst morning sickness that rendered men in the doctors office many times unable to eat, my first child morning sickness was all day sickness for the entire nine months, the second was no as bad, my husband never got sick

I guess I was no so lucky.
