It is likely they sought him out specifically for this purpose.....I would highly doubt he would have done the reaching out during his time of grieving.....

Either way, he is just like anyone else that is pro gun control after a family member has died by a gun....driven, but ultimately will get nothing else accomplished because the support simply isn't there for strict gun control measures in the US....

Sad part is that even without a gun, the shooter seemed driven enough to use whatever means possible to kill those two on live TV.
