The Russians for decades reinvested all there Oil profits in working out how to drill deeper as they always knew this and eventually worked out how to drill down to 40 thousand feet where the mineral is naturally produced this is why they have become the No 1 oil supplier in the world.

Ah, actually, no. That would be the United States:

U.S. surges past Saudis to become world's top oil supplier. Source

And I thought the whole abiotic oil theory had been disproved years ago.

No all they are doing is lying to you about the theory, people work for money and will do and say what they are told.

Depends where you get your source from Mr Mason en.wikipedia.org...

The oil theory was disproven years ago by Russia but it is not being told to us and therefore people think it still comes from fossils where are you getting your information from

cosmic ray factor is not included either nor is solar activity.

different atmospheres, different distances from the sun, different effects from cosmic rays as well as a million other differences between earth and all other planets in the geo/helio system.

well maybe not a million differences but enough to add to the equation.

What? Isn't formation of methane on other planet known for more than a decade? And, Methane is NOT Petroleum or an oil of any kind...

Seriously when the gulf disaster happened we are to believe that at those depths life once existed? Dinosaurs and vegetation? Really?

Newsflash: When living organisms die in the water, they tend to sink.

Is that why oil floats?

Oil is hydrophobic and lighter due to the molecules being bigger and not as compact as water molecules this is why it floats.

Methane is caused in "most instances" from Rotting biology. the geological record for earths periods don't include biology rotting miles beneath earths surface. Those period sediments are on the surface less than 100ft, and theres no proof subduction has worked over the entire planet, erasing earths pre-prehistory

But it does include things like subduction.

Methane is a pettry simple molecule, it could be made by many reactions! Get a carbon, put three hydrogen, voilà Methane! They found sugars in comets, Methane is far from surprising and doesn't need life to be made.
edit on 30-8-2015 by PersonneX because: added s to reactions

edit on 30-8-2015 by PersonneX because: changed live for life

Methane gas is a byproduct of oil my friend..because when you drill for oil...gas always comes first...so you better get your mud's viscosity just right and keep your eye one the pressure, or your rig's going to burn on the horizon for all to see...Lol

It has been. Not to mention that drllers themselves have said that they have dug deeper than where you'd see organic life.

So, the Earth's surface has been the same for hundreds of millions of years.
It hasn't changed? There are no subduction zones. No sedimentation layers.

I don't suppose those drillers are geologists?

I will start to say that I don't know if methane could be produce by using petroleum (so being a byproduct). But, Methane is not petroleum, and you are going in the dangerous sophisme road.

Only in those zones, not the entire surface of the planet, because if that was true? earth would have to be much older than the geological record its carbon dating.
