This thread is pretty quiet for a PP thread, that's pretty telling.

SF.

*shrug* Tells me people are tired of all the bending over backwards libs are taking to defend PP and StemX. Why bother, it's more of the 'nothing to see here' vs 'do you want your baby scrambled or over easy'?

Isn't it sad that it's only the "libs" that defend the freedoms that were upheld by the supreme court? Perhaps it would be better to be knee-jerk reactionaries that want to choke out any freedoms they wish as long as they don't agree with it?

While I could understand that the videos looked edited, I gave the benefit of the doubt because most undercover journalism is...

The things is, most proper journalism isn't edited to manufacture a different story, it's edited to present the information more accurately. There are ethics in journalism which need to be upheld and when someone is found in breach of those ethics they are commonly outed and shunned for that practice.

This was not journalism, it was a politically motivated witch-hunt by the right-wing, it was propaganda of the worst kind and it went further than they ever believed it would.

Unfortunately, none of this will change anything in minds of the rabid Republican cheerleader, they'll now start attacking the company doing the exposing, using their own right-wing propaganda bloggers as "sources", claiming all kinds of conspiracies and bs to back up their nonsense.

Propaganda leading to more propaganda to cover the fact that it's all propaganda.

Don't worry though, the Republican party as we know it is just about done. The public is fast evolving beyond their fundamentalist idiocy.

And here we go again, taking your debate to the extremes of disgusting rhetoric because you have no real argument.
You sound just about the same as the most violent pro-life freaks of decades past with their vile attacks on people and their vomit-worthy "literature".

Please take it to a pro-life meeting where you can vomit bile all over each other, people here are not interested.

But MSNBC says PP hired the "firm".

Why would PP hire a Republican connected company to review the video?

That is true. Says so at the link: Link

It also says that these scammers tried to push unlawful contracts on to PP and not one was ever signed because PP would not agree to breaking the law.

Despite Mr. Daleiden’s three-year effort to entrap Planned Parenthood, he failed to succeed in convincing even a single affiliate to enter into a procurement contract with his fake company,” Richards wrote, referring to David Daleiden, the Center for Medical Progress’s ringleader. In the case of one video filmed in Colorado, Richards said, the doctor “repeatedly told the Biomax representative that legal counsel would have to review any contract with Biomax. These references were consistently deleted from the video excerpt Mr. Daleiden released. Indeed, legal counsel did in fact review the proposed Biomax contract and objected to its terms because they did not comply with federal law.

do you want your baby scrambled or over easy?

I'm sorry to be so blunt but...

Minus the hyperbole looks more like... "what parts are you looking for?" Which is not only NOT illegal but makes complete sense. Why would they need a hand for fetal heart research? AND for preserved hearts it's going to need a more careful procedure and thus it's perfectly okay to ask for more compensation. The medical supply industry itemizes everything.

You can say that you don't agree with abortion, you can say it's sick, you can be extremely offended by the way it needs to be talked about in terms of procuring tissue that is valuable to research. What you can't say and remain correct is that PP did anything illegal.

Chances more planned parenthood videos will be posted on ATS as proof of how evil they are, despite this article?

Pretty good I would say.

As someone who does video for a living. It's not surprising. 30 minutes of missing video is not a lot. Unless you want to sit through 30 minutes of boring footage where they are adjusting camera settings, getting the hidden camera in the right position (since it would have to be set up and rolling before it's placed in the hidden location), them walking into the building where nothing is probably visible in the video, etc. It's not surprising stuff like that got clipped. It's totally standard.

And it still doesn't change what was said on the video by the planned parenthood staff.

If you had a video of a serial killer admitting to murder for example, the police are not going to care if there's footage clipped from the video.

Sorry, your thread does not change anything.
