No disrespect to you, because you seem quite devoted...but Bernie Sanders seriously doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning. Even Biden will quickly out pace him as soon as he gets in.

I know you'd like him to win, but it just ain't going to happen. This country will never elect an openly socialist President.

Hmmmm........

You sure about that?????

Not true.

I'm in the middle and I support him.

He's the only non establishment candidate in the bunch, and the first one in years maybe even ever, to spark so much public interest.

I like his brashness. I like that he doesn't pander to anyone. I like that he isn't afraid to alienate a lobbyist, because he doesn't need them.

He's a breath of fresh air in what has otherwise become the frustratingly divisive politics of today.

He at least speaks his mind, without thinking "Wait, i can't say that because so and so will stop giving me money!" He has no filter.

He's leading for those reasons. It's simple really, people are tired of politics as usual.

Please don't take this the wrong way...I do get what you are saying..but that is emotional "thinking"..

It's the same reason people listen to Howard Stern or Rush Limbaugh...doesn't mean they will vote for them come judgment day.

And People that significantly lean left or right often see themselves as "in the middle"...

If Trump hasn't scared the crap out of you with his proposals yet...you lean right.

Like I said on the first page. I know the election is a year and a half away. That's why I'm writing the thread now, to get out in front of the problem before its too late. I'd rather this thread became pointless a year or so from now instead of it being a case of "I told you so".

The whining about Trump is insane with some people. He is smashing in the republicans polls right now,it is very early. No one has ever had this high of a lead this early in poll numbers.
Doubt if Trump loses to democrats when moderate people usualy switch candidates because they are tired of the same ole stuff.Goes back and fourth and people are realy fed up with career politicians ruining this country. They are also fed up with donors, special interest and all the garbage that goes on with it.

The Republican GOP painted Obama as a socialist/communist from the get go....How'd that work out for ya?

SC Trump gathering already showed him melting down. Now it's a question of staying power.

of course people are pissed, I'm one of them! But an arrogant, misogynist, elitist rich guy doesn't speak for me.

Nope I haven't. How about posting some sources instead of just talking about it? And by sources, I mean sources that actually have numbers and historical facts in them. Not opinions and rhetoric.

I'm also still curious how he is going to overcome that VAST negative opinion he has among Hispanics, who AGAIN, are required to win the Presidency these days.

This rant, especially the last paragraph, might be better in the original German. I think I can hear the whine of the loudspeakers, see the flicker of the torches, and see the massed throngs saluting with outstretched arms....

The very factors which had stacked the deck in favor of the left are now becoming hazards that can turn the populace rightward again. If it happens once, the left will be crushed forever. The increasingly socialist and globalist policies of the post-WWII era have done nothing but tear at the fabric of society. For a time, people were distracted by the increase in material wealth which accompanied the modern era, but the destruction of the middle class is making it harder and harder for people to fail to notice the fraying strands that bind the country together. One term with a strong nationalist, conservative candidate will put out all doubt from the minds of the people. They'll see that it wasn't just the corruption and special interest politics dragging down the country, but also the subversion of morals leaking out from liberal academia.

Seriously, did you consider EXACTLY who this sounds like? You hit it all – the leftists must be “crushed”, “destruction” of the middle class, nationalism, the strong “leader” who will “ put out all doubt from the minds of the people,” subversion of morals, disdain for academics...if only we could identify the group behind all of this! Do you know what you are doing?

Ricky Martin says "Trump makes my 'blood boil' "

Ricky Martin is calling on Hispanics to unite together against Donald Trump, saying the GOP presidential candidate’s “absurd, incoherent, and ignorant comments” make his “blood boil.”

“From the beginning, [Trump’s] intent has been clear: To basically tell lies and offend us to stay in the public spotlight,” the Puerto Rican-born “Livin’ La Vida Loca” singer writes in a blistering op-ed on Fusion.net published Wednesday night.

But.....wait - the minorities are going to love him. Right?

Trumps done now. Rickey Martin is on the case.

Really not a put down of you or politics or support of trump but I honestly do not care what Rickey Martin, Kim Kardashian or even Clint Eastwood thinks about politicians. You people are the highly paid court jesters. Go entertain. I know a lot of people do care if an entertainer thinks like they do, I am not one of them

The difference is that Obama never admitted to voters he was a socialist. Sanders is doing the socialist 'Full Monty' in his campaign.

That was an awesome rant...keep holding onto that world-view..don't let reality pop that glen beck bubble you live in!

And which reality is that? The one where leftist policies have turned blacks back into slaves; where globalist central banking policies and destruction of traditional social structures have reduced the middle class to a shadow of its former glory; where nearly undefended borders have allowed thousands of criminals into neighborhoods increasingly shared with members of the former middle class; where every objective survey of happiness has plummeted despite ever increasing "tolerance" and "diversity" (everyone has to be tolerated, except for whites and males; everyone has to be respected, except for whites and males; every culture needs to be celebrated, except for European cultures and masculinity; everyone should be treated equally, except for whites and males; every option is available for women, except for traditional roles)?

Liberalism is living on borrowed time. Leftist policies are couched in idealistic rhetoric which makes people feel good while being unable to provide a stable future. Now that not even the hard work of the remaining honest Americans can keep the house of cards teetering onward and the oligarchy can no longer control the sensationalist media they created, people are waking up to the truth. When people have known nothing but increasing liberalism and increasing suffering, the first taste of traditionalism is a final gasp clearing away a sensation which one never knew was foul until experiencing the opposite purity.

If you are insinuating that my views coincide with those of Hitler and the National Socialists, I am honored. However, my views lay even further to the right than theirs. I would settle for fascism or National Socialism at the moment though, either one would be a massive improvement over liberal republicanism.

I really hope you are either joking with this statement or VASTLY ignorant on what National Socialism is and stands for, because if not, what you just said is absolutely horrifying!

I don't care HOW bad you think the left is, they are no where NEAR as bad as the Nazis were and are. That is a very unfair comparison and tells me that your rhetoric isn't steeped in reality.

He is also energizing a large section of the population who generally do not vote. People who have had enough of career politicians and politicians in general. It's a long way off and a toss up. It's up for him to lose at this point. The dems don't have a strong candidate if Hillary is brought down.

No, he's not. Trumps platform is based on extreme rhetoric and being brash, and he's doing that now. You need to build up to a climax on election day. What Trump has done is completely unsustainable and it will cause him to not even make it to the primary. On the other hand his rhetoric is going to make the other candidates take certain positions that will prove to be political kryptonite.

Wait...you've confused me.....
are you not aware that Trump has been denigrating Hispanics since step one?

Or that Trump is a "celebrity" with his own "Hollywood Star"?
(It's because he's an 'entertainer')
Who are the court jesters again?

Guess you are not aware all the journalist amd media talk show host admit no one has ever had this high of Poll numbers since Poll numbers have been accounted for this EARLY in an election.

Trump is leading 28 percent to 12 percent over Carson in the latest Quinnipiac poll.

Romney had a 25 percent to 11 percent lead over Perry in July 2011 and Perry had a 31% to 19% lead over Romney in early September.

So Trump's lead isn't all that spectacular by historical standards. And I would guess his negatives are a record high.

According to that Quinnipiac over sixty percent don't trust him to handle international policy.

And he is even losing to Biden in a general election.
