well I hope those pictures dont disappear in the next few days, seriously tough, where is the ice NOW? As a lot of these other effects, there is usually residual evidence for a week or so, then it dissapears...

Google Earth has never showed sea ice in the Arctic. It shows no sea ice, anywhere. That is not part of the native dataset it uses but as I said, you can apply sea ice overlays.

I just checked and you're correct, Google Earth doesn't show any ice. You can google the reason. Google doesn't show it because it's sea ice and Google Earth is used mainly for land based places.

HOWEVER, you can get an add on that shows sea ice.

these images show ice at the north.

He keeps measuring from Brisbane to LA, at the same 2 points and now it went from 12000 miles minus 500, down to 11500 miles now, so they are shrinking the landmass back again to where it was. I wonder if they will put it all the way back to 8000 where it was for decades?
