It may not be that clear cut, actually. Trump is wealthy enough to not bow to political pressures from the Right. He doesn't need their campaign
funds. But he's touched a nerve among people who have recently had a taste of what it feels like to be marginalized, in their eyes. I'm a pretty
all-encompassing sort of person, but I even agree that political correctness has ventured into the realm of the absurd at times. And there is
absolutely no constitutional guarantee that you can't be offended. Life is generally offensive. There's no getting around that fact. So he says things
people don't like. So does every other politician. Otherwise there's no need for debates, runoffs, or even elections. I'd vote for Sanders over
Clinton any day, but I don't generally like him. I disagree with socialism, personally. But he's less offensive to me than she is. Simply because he
doesn't pander, and he doesn't act like he should be annointed to the office.
