Loved Fringe. I'm surprised that Noble never won an Emmy. He deserved it.

Not the same type of show but it's characters are as intriguing is Heroes.

I vote hands down for Utopia (UK) this became #1 on my list of shows and thats above X-files, and Fringe for me. I promise, watch the first episode and you will be hooked... forever!!!

P.S. be sure to read the controversy, and very sudden ending of one of the MOST popular shows that was on air at the time!!!
Sometimes things get to close to home.

The only show that is even remotely like Fringe was Sliders, and not even then.

Alternative universe and all that.

Sliders there wasn't just one.

Can't believe I am going to say it but 'Hollywood' should do a new version of sliders.

taken was a good show from what I remembered.

Fringe was great.

LOST was good as long as you only watched the last 5-10 minutes of every episode. Everything prior to the last 5 minutes was pointless fillers for advertisement placement.

Another oldie the lost room

X-Files is likely the closest, as well as the show that inspired it, Kolchak: The Nightstalker.

Warehouse 13 has similarities as well. All of these are what I'd call "Freak of the Week" shows.
