The 25-year veteran of the City of San Antonio police department was one of three officials who saw their email addresses leaked as part of the huge information dump, though it remains unclear whether the man's suicide was directly linked to the Ashley Madison leak.
IBTimes UK has confirmed that the officer's email address was listed among the millions. However, as Ashley Madison doesn't require users to verify email addresses, it is impossible to say who used the address for certain. The suicide was first reported by the San Antonio Express News which doesn't identify the person in question and said it "wasn't clear whether his death had anything to do with the leak".

Would your heart bleed for your ex with your silly little violin if after confronting your he or she killed themselves?
Still a necessary hack.
While it's the cheaters, I'm left thinking "sad, but oh well"

I'm surprised that anybody who offed themselves cause of this, lasted as long to begin with.
Sorry, I don't have much sympathy for people who take the suicide route instead of just dealing with their problems.

She could get hit my a train tomorow and i honesty would not give a #....she was dead to me a long time ago. I cut her off emotionally.
She was a sociopath anyway and certainly would not care at being confronted.

How so necessary ?
While it's the cheaters, I'm left thinking "sad, but oh well"
But you don't know their story , why they felt the need to do what they did.
Two members of the cheating website Ashley Madison have taken their own lives after hackers published their details, police said today.
Officers in Canada confirmed they have been informed the men killed themselves following the security breach which saw the the details of 37 million members published online.
The names of the two victims have not been released but the news comes as a Texas police captain whose email address appears on the client list is thought to have taken his own life.
Captain Michael Gorhum, who had served for 25 years with the San Antonio Police Department, killed himself last week, it was confirmed today.
