The talented Mr Buthalezi paints his pictures with a heat gun and plastics he finds in the rubbish from his home city of Johannesburg , not only is he creating great art but also in a small way helping his city recycle its waste , another of his passions.

Mbongeni Buthalezi believes he is the only person out there painting in this way and he calls his art "plastic fantastic"
Below is a video featuring Mr Buthalezi and his artwork , impressive stuff.

As someone who can barely draw a straight line people with the creative flare of Mr Buthalezi really do blow my mind , vision , skill and craft all perfectly aligned.

That was awesome, recycling materials to make something lasting like art. Lots of material out there, most of that we throw away is made of colored plastic. Judging by the size of that warehouse studio, he's doing alright by it.

Oh and, somebody tell him to wear a respirator when he's working.

Very talented and creative! I agree that he should be wearing a respirator or mask of some kind while melting plastic.
