This has just happened.

Video from the explosion:

Amid the rising tensions in North Korea, now this. Not saying it was them, obviously, but suspicious nonetheless.

I find all the explosions as of late, quite odd. I cant say its terrorism related but it is weird.
Someone should start a thread on all the explosions and all the possible targets. Who what why when where. See if we can connect the dots, if any.

Looks like homegrown extremists. Not the first time they've done something like this.

A spokesman for police in Kanagawa prefecture said two steel pipes measuring about 50 centimeters long were found planted in the ground with electric cables in a field less than a kilometer from Camp Zama. Police later found in a nearby field what appeared to be projectiles that were believed to have been fired from the pipes.

RT now reporting: www.rt.com...

It can't be just me who finds the timing of the explosions considering the NK/SK tensions plus the reports of the 50+ missing submarines odd. I mean, there MIGHT be a connection, right?

Japanese extremists have attacked US facilities in the past and probably will as long as they're there. Most of the North Korean subs are small short range boats designed to infiltrate the South and couldn't reach Japan.

To be honest I can barely see NK facing SK alone, let alone with with Japan and the US on SK's back (Not that they wouldn't already be anyway), so it would be way too crazy for them to be behind this, but I just found it too much of a coincidence for me not to mention it.

That's what I thought. It's bad enough but at least it wasn't anything like what happened in China. I hope nobody was killed.

I was expecting this to be another accidental explosion. You don't really hear of terrorism or extremism much in Japan. What is their motive for doing something like this ? I hope no one was injured.

Puhleese…

Yah, if its a 'US military base' in Japan (those don't exist by the way), then that is sympathetic detonation of stored munitions.

One in Iraq…
