We are getting close to the end.

The end is getting close for everyone. As I walk around and check the news it's apparent there are many soulless people filling the world and it grows daily. These soulless people don't even realize what they have become. 2012 was the end of the world and the starting of a new just like the cycles and the calendar said. It's as if you had a bathtub full of water and you pulled the plug. At first you will notice nothing. For awhile everything will seem to be normal.. As the water slowly drains from the surface it starts to change and move until a whirlpool opens up, pulling everything down. That's what is happening right now. The plug has been pulled and the water is draining. We are very close to that whirlpool opening. Could it be stopped? Yes, we could put the plug back in but it is our fate to go through this. Its a new cycle, out with the old in with the new.

My advice to everyone is to check your spirituality daily. Spirituality has nothing to do with going to church, or giving millions of dollars to someone it has to do with you and your connection with the universe. The other key is limit and lower your noise. The noise is the soulless people around you and what is being blasted at you wherever you go. A good example of lowering your noise is the "Alone" series on the history channel that just finished. 10 people are dropped off at Vancouver Island each by themselves to see how long they can last. As they are away from all noise it changes them as the connection to everything they knew is now gone. It allowed them to work on their spirituality. That is a drastic way to limit noise but you can still do this yourselves daily. The world is not going to blow up but this old cycle will drain and the new one will begin.

Edit- To respond to some of the comments I'm not saying "run for the hills" nor am I saying give up. What I am saying is work on yourselves so you don't become "soulless" as the noise continues to become stronger and the drain is emptied. Our souls are like a fire and If you don't continue to feed that fire it will go out. It can be restarted and brought back to life however it is something you must work on and not just "laugh and drink a beer and say there is no hope". the "hope" is for yourself and helping others. An easy example would be Darth Vader who before he passed changed his way before his life ended (I use this example as most people have watched star wars and is an easy example to give). Also to another poster there is "noise" and there is "harmony" right now almost everything that is coming at us is "noise".

I normally don't get involved in topics like these, but I have to say that I agree.

Something is wrong with our cultures and societies. A bit of inner reflection and self-honesty will reveal that we are not doing things right. We're not treating each other as we should and our current systems of governance are not working.

But perhaps this is just part of the natural evolution of human beings. We have to experience all of these things so that when a new cycle begins, we will know what does not work.

That's my opinion anyway.

We're not "soulless." Everyone makes that "noise," as there's so much turmoil being worked out of people's systems. This will be, and is, a new journey for everyone. I believe that there's only two paths to follow in order to approach any situation and that's either thru LOVE or fear. Which path a person decides to follow will determine the degree of joy they'll experience. Pick the path of LOVE, Love.

If it is it is nothing can be done to stop it at this point. If you think it is all you can do is prepare and be ready to make the best decisions possible. If not laugh at it.

I guess from the point of view that it does , that dictates a lot of chaos and death. As with those situations a lot of good and innocent people go down with the rest of us and that sucks.

From the point of view it doesn't grab another beer and laugh at the conspiracy nuts for another doom prediction gone wrong.

Time will tell and we will see.

I think your going to be sorely disappointed that things keep going. Your forgetting how quite well things are going. You're just looking at bad things. No one talks about good news. We have come out of years of poor economic performance and things are coming back, usually these bad times are followed by boom times. Check back in five years at your doom porn post. Is it the end of the world that is truly bothering you? Has the world become soulless? Or is it you?

Many believed 2012 would be the end of the world. Yet it was not.

The world kept going on. The good and the bad.

Perhaps the soul was always there. But you never allowed it. Perhaps.

It changes a man when he is allowed to work on his spirituality, does it not?

What good economic performance is going on? Beyond the stock market for two days and China? What are we looking at as far as declining or improving stock market globally? Petro dollar? Retails sales growth compared to unemployment rate. Is that rate accurate? Are we equipped to handle another downturn. What's debt look like not just national / state but household? Speaking of unemployement what are the jobs looking like, full time, good paying? Are social service uses rising dropping? What ? What's happening with those that were unemployed , good jobs, bad jobs, are they being folded into things like disability and not being counted? Could you show me good economic news and what is happening to setup a boom?

Not saying the end is coming But trying to understand what data is it you are looking at to hold this view.

I agree with you, although I think it is more gradual and started well before 2012. The Native Americans also agree with what you say about the spirit dying and being reborn.

Although a few of their prophecies or interpretations I disagree with, like aliens, for the most part they prophecy what you are saying.

That was my initial reaction after reading about the collapse in currency around the globe today.
I finally think the economic end is near for the world, and then the real trouble starts.

Look at how drastically hate has increased over the past 5 years.
Blacks calling for the killing of all whites.

Police brutality.

Racism is as bad as it was in the days of slavery.

Rampant unchecked immigration and the excusing
of criminals from prosecution simply because they
are illegal immigrants, being let out to kill, rape and plunder
over and over and over.

The brutality of the Islamic State, extreme misogyny,
normalizing the rape of little girls and calling it marriage,
throwing homosexuals off of buildings for being homosexual,
brutal torture and murders of anyone who disagrees with them being
celebrated with glee; a resurgence of slavery and a joyful worship
of sex slavery (men praying and thanking Allah before raping a sex slave)

The degradation of the police to the point where they are
afraid to protect the people for fear of being jailed themselves
leading to rampant crime and violence.

The polarization of left versus right and the
extreme hatred each has for the other side
to the point where we have passed any opportunity
at understanding or even talking to each other.

This is what I see happening in the world today.

Good post, I am not religious in any way far from it, but I agree, I have noticed some changes, mostly in society, a lot of people are ugly to each other, and that is a trait we can thank our leaders for, all these riots, all these movements, all these people getting shot, it creates more hatred and destabilization, martial law is what they want, but globally, a world police state, where we fear the boogyman and only the government can help, not the case though, we need to start helping each other, black white, whatever you are, the powerful are using us to do their deeds, they want a scared population, they want Facebook to be our lives, don't get me wrong Facebook is good in small doses but most of society are hooked on social media, where we still fight and bicker between ourselves we are doing their work for them, the thing the fear the most is a united world, united world of real people, the real humans, US, all they have is money, without it they bleed just like us, they are prone to weakness just like us.
