I remember back when people were happy and cheering when it broke the 10,000 mark, why all the panic if it drops down near that level again? The thing can't keep going up forever.

Watch the Panic !!

Get Your Affairs in Order !!!

Are you trying to incite panic? Did you not see my link earlier on this page that says that we should wait until the END of the trading day to see how bad the drop was? I mean the market has already regained some of the points since it opened and started dropping. Granted it started dropping again, but damn the day just began. Stop going crazy for now.

We've almost hit the point that we where at back at October the 14th of this year. But I can tell there are a lot of people watching the market now, a lot of the stock sites are slowing down.

"Must not sleep, must warn others."

Dow Jones down, Nasdaq down (8,1% WTF), S&P-500 down, Nikkei down, Dax down. All of them.
Futures, Eur and gold are the only things going up, innit?

How is the OP panicking? It's most def not the US stock only.

The market is stabilizing.

finance.yahoo.com...

So there is no need to be yelling in BIG LETTERS. The stock market isn't crashing.

Right.

It's "only" down 2000 points in a month.

Hmmm.

It's called a correction. They happen quite regularly. It's not the end of the world... If you'd bother to click on the link I supplied instead of being in a rush to post sarcastic quips, you'd see a graph showing the DJIA going up and down to less and less extremes since the day started. Hence why I said it is stabilizing.

Looks like it trying to hold out at -4% change. I don't see it dropping much more then a high -5% by the end of the day. Which is still far off from a -15% crash. But who know the day is still young, and no tell what tomorrow will bring.

No worries for mom & pop trades having much effect if that's what you're alluding to.

The micro halts behind the scenes are murderous on small investors trying to sell/buy on spikes and dips.

Trades can't be done quick enough.

...and this, folks, is what happens when we let our economic fate be determined by a glorified casino. I wish the best for everybody, but this sick game must come to an end at some point.

Looks real stable.

Like a yoyo.

I say the Dow closes down 600 today.
