You said the right doesn't exist.

I meant that nothing exists that fits your definition of right.

Therefore Fascism must be on the Left.

Like I said, yes, according to your definitions.

Like Gryphon66 posted above, why waste time discussing left and right when your definition is AC=Right and everything else=left.

In the context of extremes like anarchy and totalitarianism, Fascism must be Left, because it is extreme and not anarchy.

Besides, you have no definition of the Left, so you cant deny anything not right as not left.

You don't really say anything. Just constant deflection. Your avatar should be a treadmill or a rowing machine.

But left boot or right, it doesn't matter when it's on your throat.

Wouldn't that imply that, left boot or right it doesn't matter if it isn't on your throat?

Its a left issue because of the government involvement.

Do elaborate.

Which states were resisting the recognition of marriage, again?

I seem to recall them being Republican states... and if Republicans are on the Right, then wouldn't they be resisting legal recognition of gay/lesbian marriages?

Republicans are on the Left since Eisenhower or Goldwater.

Republican are relatively right, at least rhetorically, but the party has never undone a Leftist Institution. Or even tried very hard.

Reps are Dems and Dems are Commies.

William F. Buckley, the Republican, promulgated a totalitarian bureaucracy as necessary to fight the cold war. That makes the Republican Party Wilsonian Democrats.

More word salad.

So, let's see if I've got this right.

The Republican party is really the Wilsonian Democrats who were really fascists AND/OR communists (because words don't mean anything) ... so ACCORDING TO YOU ... Republicans are fascists/communists ...

Well, if you say so.

Huh?

So if it is on someone else's throat, it's okay?

*scratches head*

Well you should post some quotes from those book sources.

You know, for comparison and accuracy to the generally accepted academic definition of Fascism.

You can do that right?

You're down with this silliness as well?

You really believe that Fascism, Communism, Socialism and Totalitarianism are all exclusively Left-wing?

Why?

To have you post strings of emoticons and say something stupid in return?

Nah, I'll pass thanks.

I say the truth. AC exists only as an ideal. While anarcho-capitalists can try to hide behind the claim that "It hasn't been tried" the truth is that it was what existed before any form of centralized government and there is good reason why it doesn't exist today.

If anything, this thread has taught me that no matter what I believe, there will be someone who will disagree.

I think that any despotism is bad. I dislike a government that wants to control people's lives.

Don't really care who's in charge.

No, it wouldn't be on anybody's throat.

Interesting that you would go in that direction.

Doesn't every government control someone's life, somehow?

Sounds like the only thing you would really accept is anarchy.

(Thanks for not answering my question "yes, of course" even if you do believe that. I'm really fragile right now.)

We are talking about fascism, aren't we?

Didn't realize there was a "plus side" to it.

I'll talk to him.

But he'll probably just say, "I am Groot".

Right positive, Left negative.

I agree, I also want to have a beer with Thich Nhat Hanh

I'd love to have a drink with him, too. Sure, I'll join you!!

I thought he passed away recently when you posted that thread when he was ill

I never posted any such thread. Ever.

Anyway - moving on....I'd LOVE to have a beer with him....

.............but, but.....NOT to show him how wrong he is.

To show you how mistaken some people (including possibly yourself) actually are. And it has nothing at all to do with "economics." It has to do with cooperation, and peace of mind.

It has to do with people relaxing and working together to achieve a 'greater good.' Oh, and education.

But, whatever. Think what you want.

Looks like I confused you with stormdancer, my mistake. I think you both must have had sumptuous young avatars or something if my memory serves me or else I just blundered.

It is irrelevant though, an ATS outing is in order to visit Thich on his last legs!

I see. My point was not clear.

I was playing off your comment about despotism under left or right being the same so a left or right society with greater individual freedom should also be the same.
