Oh that's not how it works? Funny, because apparently "white guilt" is a real thing because conservative racism deniers (and you) say so? "Oh you think racism actually exists and negatively impacts minorities? Clearly you're suffering from 'white guilt!' (because I say so!)"

No body denied racism exists, not one single person has so far on this thread even

I explained what white guilt phenomna is displaying, im sorry you cant understand it in those simple terms

You dont fight racism with a partisan group called BLM , you fight it as a unified force where all lives matter

but hey, who am i to talk common sense

That's like saying you don't fight cancer by doing a marathon for breast cancer...
It's asinine and specious...

& I defy you to tell breast cancer awareness researchers or activists they're doing it wrong because all cancer research matters.

HAHHHHAHHA (gasp) yeah its just the Conservatives

Ask Bernie Sanders or the other DEMOCRATS that got shoved off their stage by racist BLM members

BlackLivesMatter demanded an apology for Bernie Sanders from those two people...

Keep up with the times.

So why did the Seattle chapter put out the statement saying white liberal progressives are part of the problem

Wasn't calling him a racist as far as I know but did say white progressive liberals are part of the problem. Basically take a flying leap.

Black Lives Matter Seattle explained their actions in a news release: “The problem with Sanders, and with white Seattle progressives in general, is that they are utterly and totally useless (when not outright harmful) in terms of the fight for Black lives. While we are drowning in their liberal rhetoric, we have yet to see them support Black grassroots movements or take on any measure of risk and responsibility for ending the tyranny of white supremacy.”

www.politico.com...

Very wise to post that quote. It says a lot and sort of answers the question that's been on my mind. That question is..."What exactly do the BLM people want?" I still can't completely answer that question because their tactics are odd to me. At first blush it would seem that they want to stop police shootings of black people. Or..they want to stop white cops from shooting black people. Fair enough. So they confront local "leaders", Mayors, police chiefs, etc. and stage protests to get their point across to the local governments to do something about abusive Policing methods. Again, fair enough.

Then they expand this to shutting down Bernie Sanders and arguably other "Progressive", (socialist) Candidates for high office, taking his microphone and running him off stage and then making a public statement. Well, Sanders is part of the Government and the people at his events are "Progressives", so....yea....fair enough.

But then, they take this movement and message to the streets and barge into restaurants and demand patrons, (mostly white because they chose mostly restaurants favored by whites or in predominantly white neighborhoods), agree with their agenda and take their side. Not so "fair enough". First, the patrons aren't government people and they aren't candidates for government office so.....there's nothing they can do about anything. Second, there's no way of knowing if the patrons are "Progressives" and thereby owe allegiance to their cause.

The first and most obvious object of their movement is Government. Take it to the "system". But I don't see them having a right to coerce people in general population to their cause and in fact its hurtful to their cause since it appears to make people have to chose between "White Supremacy" or "Black Supremacy". And that simply isn't going to happen because a whole lot of people don't accept anyone's "Supremacy" over them!

I don't see this turning out very well.

tired argument and poor analogy, this has nothing to do with cancer and isnt even close to the same thing

Except that racism is a cancer, and its not mutually exclusive to WHITE people, as we can clearly see by the BLM

Judging from their website, the only black lives that matter are ones killed by cops.

Judging by your post you have no idea what you're talking about because if you scroll their homepage you'll find BlackTransLivesMatter

BlackQueerLivesMatter

And about 7 or 8 more.

I have nothing other to add. Well said.

Claiming that "white guilt" is what motivates white people to support the struggle for racial equality doesn't make "white guilt" a real thing. It's a made up concept that no modern sociologists support that has lived on as a conservative meme and pejorative used to disparage and discredit whites who don't agree with the conservative stance that racism against black folks in this country isn't an actual issue.

"White guilt" is about as real as your concern for fighting against racism.

The problem is not an issue of racism nor does it take anything away from the BLM movement. The problem is that if he is white, he benefited from the Sons of Oprah scholarship, which is designed to "educate black men". If the requirement for the scholarship is to simply identify as black, then anyone can take advantage.

Oh I saw the words.
All the way at the bottom of the page.
I will stand by my statement.

They sensationalized the deaths of a few blacks by police and basically ignore the bigger problem of blacks killing blacks on the streets.

Cancer isn't exclusive to the breast either but it's good to fight it, respect the movement and add support for the cause.

I think Oprah can handle that...

If this isn't about racism, but about the scholarship, why did these accusations from a right-wing website come out NOW, and not in 1997 when he attended Morehouse College?

That's how we roll . If a Christian church issued a questionable statement then those in certain segments would blame all Christianity. Police, military, women's groups, socialist, right, left. If you are a subset of a group what you say will always be tied by certain people to the whole. Seen daily. So either everyone starts making these distinctions across the board. Or admit they are hypocrites and it only applies to something they disagree with. My gurss is people will defend, seperate, and justify what they support. Group, attack, and accuse what they don't. All involved will claim the high ground , rather amusing to watch

Maybe Shaun King won't clear this up via DNA because his DNA is already on some unsolved crime database and he's terrified he'll be making even more headlines for all the wrong reasons.....and I hear US jails can be pretty nasty enviroments.

Only reason I can see for subjecting yourself to being called a liar/bringing your beloved, oh so important organisation into disrepute is self preservation. He's between a rock and a hard place and to save his own skin he's going to stay there.

its not fictitious , they are against him cause hes white, plain and simple

Talk about fictitious youre the king

Talk in circles all you want doesnt change the facts

You seem to be having a problem making the distinction between what is and is not a fact. Let's try this again. You said:

"not to mention the fact the group are calling people that are on their side, like Bernie Sanders

Racists"

It's a FACT that you said the above. It's NOT A FACT that anyone called Bernie Sanders a racist. Since it's NOT A FACT and you knew it to be untrue, it's a LIE.

"they are against him cause hes white, plain and simple"

The above is an OPINION. An OPINION is something that a person believes to be true whereas a FACT is something that can be proven conclusively true.

Ok fine.
The kid killed in Baltimore.
Democrat mayor for 50 years
Black female state attorney
Black female mayor
43% black police force
Less than 50% whites on police force
3 of the 6 accused officers where black....

Why was this racism?
They protested....

Probably because he wasn't a central figure in a growing left-wing movement.
