I think you'd find that it'd be split fairly evenly for and against. Personally, I think it'd be slightly in favor in the next few years if things don't change.

Since I'm basically evil (based on 5 years of replies here ) I want to become the Evil Dictator of Cascadia.

I can be an evil genius and have the population as my slave-army bent on world domination.

I feel they should be able to go their own way if they want to. I just think they talk very loudly about it at times but it's always grandstanding while people in Cascadia are quietly laying the groundwork and preparing here for a viable nation in the future if that had to happen for whatever reason.

So you are perfectly ok with your taxes going to the NSA to spy on you as if you already lived in a foreign nation.

Yes, the reason I don't want to be forced to live in a fledgling country is because I enjoy having the NSA waste tax dollars.

I'm open to the idea, but I have yet to see any documentation that's swayed me. It's a sort of nice idea, but at the moment I don't think it's a great one. I'm not sure it's realistic.

Yep. Automatically citizens, who get to pay taxes. It's a nice neat way to solve the problem. Just make sure the new borders are secured so it doesn't become a problem again in the future.
