Everybody is talking about the gop and their not so sweet 16 just trying to figure out who's in or out.
That issue will resolve itself over the next few months.

My thoughts have shifted to the democrats.
With Hilary facing some nasty legal battles and some serious jail time in the very near future, I don't think she will be in the running.
If she walks away from this....when she? I just can't see her getting out of this one clean.

I think sanders is to old and far to Marxist leaning to get the dems to support him. I don't see him winning on the national level. He's the lefts version of Ron paul.

Who's left for the left to run?
Joe biden? A joke
James webb? He's a good choice for a national election but would the left forgive him for being in Reagans administration as secretary of the navy.

Who can you see running for president other that Bernie and Hillary?
I honestly don't know. This might be the problem the gop has had lately, nobody stands out...
Will this give us trump?

Elizabeth Warren would be a formidable opponent. She said she will not run, but I think with enough push, she might get in.

I don't believe Hillary will be out of the race. Accusations keep flying, but nothing has really stuck showing she actually did anything wrong.

If she does drop out, Bernie will step to the plate but the Dems will run Biden because the establishment does not want Sanders leading the party and country.

Also, do you know much about Sanders policies? What makes you say he has "Marxist" leanings? Perhaps because he is a socialist Democrat?

In all reality Elizabeth Warren isn't too far off from Bernie Sanders. I don't think she will run though... she is already being pushed hard.

His policies don't really matter. Just like you said. The party will not support him.
That's why I wonder who's left.

Al Gore's name was mentioned somewhere last week.

Seriously.

I'm not joking this time.

It does when you state that he has Marxist leanings. I'd like to know why you think that. Is it a policy that pushes you to believe that, or it is because the word socialist is in his descriptor?

The party will not support him.

I think they will if they had to, but they'd rather not because he is not the typical establishment Democrat. So they will find someone else to toss in the race.

I heard that also, but his aides supposedly said he will not run. Personally, I don't know why anyone would want the job. Everyone prying into your personal life, critiquing everything you say and do. You would have to have a hell of an ego, or just some really thick skin.

This thread is about who they will run if/when the top two players are not in the race. You just said they will run somebody else. So who?

Socialist is a good enough word to make me shy away from bernie if you feel the need to know.
I don't think he is electable on a national scale.

Biden/Warren. Give Obama a third term, keep the Sanders people in check with Warren addition. Keep it in hands of "mainstream" politicians????????

Still think this is a pick your poison Clinton or Bush election. Though been reading some interesting stories on alternative sites that Obama team is leaking stories to sink Clinton. Who knows. Also saw another story saying team Clinton knows team Obama is leaking stories and he better tread lightly. Again who knows but the in crowds. Who can tell with some of the reporting sources.

End of day, politics as usual is my guess, regardless.

He won in 2000, he might win again.

Well, the vote of the People, anyway.

We all saw what government overreach can do to thwart what the People want, didn't we?

They have no one now or in the future. Maybe one of the mayors of the many ghettos that they always seem to love to run and blame everyone else for the problems

You should know the answer to that. The dumbed down public doesn't know the difference between Socialism and Communism.

Here's some people I'm surprised aren't running.

Sen. Mark Warner Virginia
Montana governor Barry Schweitzer
Sen. Sherrod Brown Ohio
Elizabeth Warren

The public is dumbed down about a lot of things. Hence the popularity contest known as the presidency.
This whole thing comes down to who can be elected by the dumbed down general public, not who has the best policies.

I'm still planning on Groot, simply because, "I am Groot". Your pup could be a running mate though.

We still have over a year before elections. I see many changes and names and candidates coming and going before the election.

Everybody confuses Bernie with being a Marxist when he's just more in favor of Democratic Socialism.

And his message resonates with a lot of voters. I won't count him out until the primaries start. That will be the big deciding factor of party support.

And the GOP have largely ignored him because they have no arguments. They can't attack him on anything, nor can they come up with better solutions.

I spoke to Tucker, my dog, and he said he will be Groot's VP....Simply because Groot can at least say....I am Groot....Tucker will back him up barking, or biting, whichever is needed to get $hit done!

What ever ism you choose makes no difference. I don't think the dems will choose him.
They will pick somebody they feel will have a chance to win. He's way to old to win in my opinion. Look how young the last 3 presidents have been.
