Sanders takes a moment to let the media know he's not here to play dirty politics, talk about non-issues or anything else that serves no purpose. He's not here to entertain people. He's here to get down to business. This video shows a serious, intelligent man on a mission. He speaks from his heart with honesty and a strong character that gets the crowd going. For those who haven't yet, this is a chance to feel the Bern Baby!!!

Does he handle them as well as the BLM folks?

I wonder what he considers the "real" issues to be aside from the usual class warfare stuff he's been peddling. No, I'm not going to listen to him for 5+ minutes. I don't listen to Trump either. Is there somewhere I can read it? The transcript, not his website.

Get ready for 101 invalid reasons Bernie shouldn't be president. The republicans hate this guy and for good reason. It's hard to sway the masses without any valid skeletons in the closet. I just hope he sticks to his current plan and doesn't stoop to their level.

GO BERNIE!!!!

No I don't have a transcript. This wasn't an official speech. It's him talking to reporters after a speech. Which is better IMO. It's not rehearsed or planned. It's him talking straight and honest on on the fly.

If you can't take five minutes to listen to the guy, why would you spend it reading the transcript???

Obviously you don't give a damn so what difference does it make??

Because it's the same way I handle Obama. I read what he says, but I can't stand listening to him.

I can read and process something faster than they tend to say it. Not to mention, reading it takes all of the voice inflection and everything else out of it.

In other words, I want to know what's being said, but I don't want their emotions or mine getting in the way of my analysis of it.

Well, I don't know what to say. It wasn't a planned speech or anything. Basically the press wanted to push him into talking trash about Hillary and he sets them straight. He' not here to talk trash politics or BS people and if that is all the press they want they can go somewhere else. He's here to talk about the issues and address the problems with this nation.

Aardvark

It is uncanny....

Well, no big surprise here. Anytime someone wants to talk about the reality of the rich-getting-richer off the backs of the poor-getting-poorer, the conservative response is hands over the ears and "la-la-la". Enjoy willful ignorance. As if that's not obvious while you comment on an OP video that you didn't even watch.

I don't get why people are so obsessed with Bernie he's a career politician just like all of the other democrats.

I have slowly been doing more research on him. I am seeing some things I like, such as him not slandering his opponent. There are things I don't like. His ties to socialism makes me nervous. There are things he says that remind me of Ron Paul, whom I was a supporter. I would like to know more about his voting record and history than I have seen so far. At this point he is the only candidate that I am even bothering to do more research on, as I have ruled the rest of them out.

His 'ties', such as? He calls himself a democratic socialist and to my knowledge is not formally associated with the Democratic Socialists of America.

In fact, the organization, has been rather critical in some areas:

www.dsausa.org...

I know of no other ties to any other leftist organizations either and suspect that you need to find out what the broad label "Demcratic Socialism" actually implies. We (USA) live in a disfunctional manifestation of 'democratic socialism' that could more properly be called 'corporate socialism' or 'weath socialism' certainly no longer democratic.

I can't think of a society that doesn't practise socialism of one sort or another. The key descriptor is 'who/what the socialism serves' - demos (the people) or - help would be apprieciated as I've not the time to search Latin and Greek roots.

I suspect that you are confusing socialism with communism, quite different actually.

I am speaking specifically about his involvement with the group and not socialist policies. Nor am I confusing socialism for communism. Although, many people do so I can understand why you would jump to that conclusion.

At UC, Sanders joined the Young Peoples Socialist League (youth wing of the Socialist Party USA)

I have found several other references to this as well. I first discovered this information on Wikipedia, but Wikipedia is well, Wikipedia so I went in search of other sources to confirm it.

Because he's not like other career politicians and technically he's not even a Democrat, he's an Independent.

He's honest, direct, doesn't play trashy political games, what he says is what he does, he doesn't take any super PAC money, he runs an old school style campaign and he's truly trying to fix the system of this country. He fights for the middle class and poor. He's marched in the civil rights movement. He's a genuine guy who does what he says he's going to do. His voting record shows he voted against Iraq War, Bank Bailouts, Keystone Pipeline, the TPP and he co-sponsored a bill with Ron Paul to Audit the Fed too.

Nobody is obsessed with him, but he's the only decent person running for President. He's not bought by somebody else, he doesn't lie like a rug and he's actually trying to fix this crap mess we're in now.

In college. Which if you hadn't noticed was several decades ago....

Heck, I had a great auntie that belonged to both the communist party and the kkk - she was a joining sort....

So I ask again - his current 'involvement' with what group?

No need to argue that it was a long time ago. Have you taken the time to ask why it makes me nervous? I bet my reason isn't what you are thinking.
