We all know but do not want to admit what the issue is here. The very top of the global infrastructure privately enjoys and condones this sort of thing. It is like some kind of sick club secret society thing going on. Especially in regards to politicians and power players, the more depraved they are the better for TPTB. I've said before "who is more manageable, a good honest man with morals and convictions or the scumbag you can dangle over the fire in return for favors" hmmm?

The laws are the way they are to minimize the sentences just in case any of these sick bastards is brought to light. You can look at our entire justice system and see what is going on. Certain laws and sentences are made to protect the top 1% AND cronies while other laws and sentences are to stop the common man from making any ground in life without paying their dues.

So - Subway gets off 'scott-free'?
No comment. Severed/Suspended relationship.
They should be in there, right along with him.
They were freaking Married...for a while.
He might not have ventured so far into the deep recesses of his psyche, if not for their support.

How is this even a fair statement?

If a psycho goes on a killing spree, you blaming the gun company? That damn drunk killed 15 people, better blame Grey Goose....Come on man, this statement isn't fair one bit....You have no proof that Subway did a thing other than pay a man to be a spokesman...

Minimal prison time for the rich and famous..

Just pay off the victims and the court and we will
let it slide..

The agreement filed by prosecutors ahead of an expected court appearance by Fogle says he agrees to: pay $1.4 million in restitution to 14 minor victims, each receiving $100,000, register as a sex offender and undergo treatment for sexual disorders. It says the government will not recommend a sentence of more than 12½ in prison, while Fogle will not ask for a sentence of less than five years in prison.

WOW barely 6-7 months in prison for raping over 14 girls pretty insane a normal joe blow would be getting
5-10 years atleast

Eh...what? They gave him a paycheck so they should be held culpable for his actions? I mean I can see that line of thinking if they fostered it for him and sent kids to him for him to "enjoy" but why on earth would you go after them because of their employee's proclivities?

You aren't kidding!

The plea agreement says Fogle traveled to New York and paid for sex with at least two minors between about 2010 and 2013 at the Plaza Hotel and the Ritz Carlton Hotel. The victims were 16 and 17 years old.

Fogle repeatedly asked one of the minor victims and "several others" to provide him with access to minors as young as 14 years for sex. He told one of the victims, "The younger the girl, the better." He offered "numerous prostitutes" with whom he had sex a finder's fee for access to minors he could pay for sex.

The plea agreement says that on "multiple occasions" between about 2011 and 2015 Fogle received child pornography from Russell C. Taylor, the former executive director of his charity, The Jared Foundation. The unidentified victims in the photos and videos were as young as "approximately six years of age."

Ohhhhh....I am about to drive out here for the throat punch my damn self!

I think it's very rare we see this and there are much larger issues of this with much higher people in the food chain. I think the cases in Britain pertaining to politicians happens in America too. But hey that's just me. Very sick and very sad

Relax everyone.

Jared will have a nice long second career in politics.

He's now qualified.

Sadly, he always looked and sounded like the pedo-type to me from the commercials...very disappointing that it's apparently true.

I feel bad for the kids.

If I send anyone out...to the public...in my name (or, business name) - to represent &/or be the face and personality and 'story' that Makes Money For Me - I am liable and culpable for their actions and deeds.
I have stated To The Public - "You can trust me, just like you trust Jared." --- That is the point of employing a "Celebrity Spokesperson".
It is the business's responsibility to guard against 'choosing wrongly'...just as it is one's own responsibility for choosing who they date, marry &/or go to bed with...
That is my opinion - You, apparently, have another.
Thanks for the consideration.

How would you personally be liable for their actions and deeds?

Because you are paying him?

When did Subway ever claim you can trust them and Jared? He was a fat guy who lost weight eating Subway (or coke) and that is it....He may have achieved "celebrity" status after but he was far from it when they signed him on...

Fogle first came to media attention in April 1999, through an article written in the Indiana Daily Student by a former dormmate about Fogle's weight loss.[1] Fogle was later featured in a Men's Health magazine article, "Stupid Diets. . . that Work!"[2] According to the article, Fogle had become obese by eating junk food and not exercising. Switching to eating at Subway, he changed his eating habits there to include healthier choices and smaller portions free of fattening condiments such as mayonnaise, which was followed by his significant weight loss. A Chicago-area Subway franchisee took the idea to Subway's Chicago advertising agency.[1]

How would they have ANY clue to this guy other than he ate their sandwiches to lose weight?

I can't see how you can condemn a business for actions of 1 individual....

Even more disgusting, is that these photos and videos were filmed in Russell Taylor's own home. Were they images of his children, his kids' friends? This dude needs to be next to Jared in prison receiving his own $5 footlongs.

Part of the case involves images Fogle received from Russell Taylor, the head of Fogle’s foundation. According to the complaint, Taylor sent Fogle photos of and videos from hidden cameras in Taylor’s house, featuring children as young as 6.

I disagree with both statements, as illustrated in the previous reply.
Thanks for the time.

So if one of your employees robs a bank, it's the same as if you robbed the bank yourself?

No, that's not how it works. That's not how any of this works.

Are you serious, that's the American way, the gun manufactures, it's all democrats, it's all republicans, it's Christians, it's Muslims, it's the school system it's the rich, the poor. Anything happens we take any and everything with in sneezing distance and link and blame and group, and implement shared fault/responsibility for all.

We can "blame" whoever we like, we aren't the courts on here, but to condemn a business for 1 man's sick actions is just beyond words...

Sure, let's round up those Subway CEO's, surely they will take responsibility for Jared's actions....What responsible CEO wouldn't?? /crazyamountsofsarcasm....
