It's easier to teach someone when you aren't calling them idiots or mocking them for being uneducated.

Yes and pornographers take advantage of freedom of speech. So what's your point?

In every class there are people who abuse the laws to their advantage and make all the others in that class look bad. But to remove those laws is to allow the rotten apples to remove freedoms that are vital to our country.

Pornographers are not tax exempt and they also create a product.
Evangelists are tax exempt and create no product.

By all counts, pornographers are more ethical and morally sound than these sorts of evangelists.

Yep, it sure is.

Yet still - so many of the 'subjects' are not willing to step up and gain education. How do you explain that away?

And.... Sorry, where was I 'mocking'?

You are far from sympathetic towards those that embrace religion.

Don't forget Matthew 21:12-14

[12] And Yeshua entered The Temple of God and cast out all of those who sold and bought in The Temple and upset the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. [13] And he said to them, "It is written: 'My house will be called the House of prayer, but you have made it a den of robbers.' "

-Aramaic Bible in Plain English: Matthew 21

Yeshua = Jesus

This is one reason I choose not to donate $$ to churches (Basket Passing). However, I will converse with the homeless, give them my spare change, etc.

You are far from sympathetic towards those that embrace religion.

And my reasons for doing so are crystal clear, if one looks at my posts and threads.

Now - the question remains: which type of "religion embracer" do you represent?

My faith is in a Supreme Power that we can't even imagine.

My religion is just a place where I say thank you and acknowledge this Supreme Power.

So is mine, beez.

Cool. So - why are you defending the charlatans and GOP Bible-Thumpers?
Or, are you not?
That's also cool.

I know that you are more aligned with Bernie Sanders.....which is triply cool; yet you attack me for bringing up a circumstance that is going on today wherein the "God-people" are trying to take over the government....and that obviously requires ALL OF US to pay attention.....

?????

The "Dominionist" mentality MUST be eradicated. Just like ISIS. In My Opinion.

"God people" aren't taking over. the Constitution wouldn't allow it.

I would defend equally a Wiccan who wished to practice. Freedom of religion means all religions.

As for the televangelists?

Like I stated;
There will always be people selling religion as long as there are people buying it.

To even THINK of denying televangelists, as despicable as they are, is paramount to stifling religious expression.

Some people need salvation like I need scotch.

Daily and in heavy doses.

They get theirs from preachermen on the tv.

Why in the name of Odin would I deny someone their perception of salvation?

What supreme power demands the Sun should rise and set on the ground you walk on?

You're starting to sound just like the televangelists you claim to hate.

Your crass attitude is not convincing anybody.

Now - equate that to off-shoring corporations, and the CEOs who are getting rich and hiding their assets, and the banks who are raping everyone.... while the government PTB (the Republicans) are working ever so hard to thwart ALL efforts to make things more equitable.

There will ALWAYS be people who take advantage of well-meaning but misguided 'donors'. Does that make it okay?
Or do you want to stand up and say "ENOUGH!" ???

My aim is to expose ALL of those who are preying on others and abusing/exploiting the system.

Not at the loss of freedom of religion.

Nope.

Expose the individual, if you like. But don't condemn the practice. I'd never support that.

This whole thread is about exposing the "individuals". Particularly those who are running for POTUS....and those who are exploiting naive believers and getting uber-rich off of doing so.

That is the point.

There are always going to be naïve believers. Just look at Obama and his fan-club.

The point is, what these "individuals" are doing is out in the open. There's nothing to expose.

They live big lives with houses, boats and cars.

They aren't fooling anyone.

And people still send them money.

They are free to do so.

Let 'em.
