While they are right on many accounts...Socialism is not the answer. History has shown that when communists rule, it turns into a dictatorship of psychopaths and millions have died. When socialists rule under the guise of equality the same ruling class live in luxury while half the country is under the thumb of 40% taxation and the other half of the country cannot get out out from under the thumb of government assistance...Socialism is the new slavery.

What needs to be done is to ring in the crony capitalism and corporatism and return to a free market capitalist republic.

Democratic Socialism works quite well, that's what many countries in Europe currently practice, including those with the best quality of life.

The true answer is that adhering to a single ideology isn't an answer, in reality a mix of competing beliefs is best. A public sector works best when there's a private sector threatening to do everything better, and a private sector works best when it's not the only game in town because then it can't morph into what we have today.

Bernie Sanders is part of the 1%, so his claim is kind of interesting from that regard. But it also shows he's talking nonsense. He's trying to vilify part of the population to get your support. Typical populist BS. It's the same thing Hitler did with the Jews. The Jews were essentially the 1% in Germany, successful for a variety of reasons, including their cohesiveness and native intelligence, for two. They set themselves apart from the "Gentiles" and became easy targets for people suffering under a depression. The Jews were "different" and that's what Bernie Sanders is saying about the 1%. Their brains are different. Once the Jews became the "enemy of the people" it did not take much of a leap to decide they all had to be exterminated.

That's where you're headed with Bernie Sanders. I'm sure he would be horrified at the thought, but that's how it starts. He creates an enemy for all of you disaffected people to hate and says it's all their fault.

And you respond like sheeple.

His net worth is at about $ 300k. You call this 1%? Here is my source: www.publicintegrity.org...

Where is yours?

Money is meaningless to dynastic pseudo royalty compared to social structure and power.

1. Claim they care only for their fortunes and donate less to charities
2. Proven through statistical evidence that the wealthy donate huge amounts to charities
3. Revise claim to "Money is meaningless" to the elite

Dude, Charlie, my friend, when does this asinine class warfare end and get replaced by some actual solutions that don't focus laser beams on the wealthy while rejecting any self responsibility for the non-wealthy to pull themselves out of the gutters? It's getting really embarrassing to witness so many grown adults piss and whine and moan about their state in life like infants with full diapers dependent on mom to change them.

I'm not surprised to see Bernie Sanders trying to ride a wave of class warfare and devisive social policies to ultimate power. If he succeeds, I won[t be surprised, either. It will simply confirm the entitlement mentality and "I exist, pay me now! now! now" attitude of America is very much real and growing. I will be extraordinarily disappointed in the seeing the final tatters of America's once proud testicular sack representing our can-do attitude and self responsibility of the American dream laid to rest, however.

Honestly pal, I don't really subscribe to the class warfare agenda...

It's just as divisive as anything we could equate to it...

And by no means when I say "elite" do I mean all or a majority of wealthy people, just those the shoe fits.

I also agree with the personal responsibility aspect.
I do think there are also societal failures for a lot of the poverty too.

Many things need fixing, Bernie's Kool Aid is just one flavour from a variety.

So does Bernie only attack the 1% that aren't contributing to his campaign? What does he have to say about all of the unions that contribute to his campaign?
