Ignored forums - save to profile instead of cookies?

Not sure if it's been brought up before but I have a suggestion to save any ignored forums to the login instead of to a cookie. My reason being...I use the site from a couple of different computers and as such, clear all browsing history on them. With subsequent new visits I then have the entire list of topics showing instead of the ones I chose to view/hide.

Thanks for any attention and if suggestions are better off communicated via a different way, please advise
