being a navigation officer in the merchant navy ( and taking star sights every night), can i assure you that every star is in its correct place, doing it`s correct thing.they are not "moving about". for gods sake i`m navigating a 200,000 tonne tanker! i know where i am.

Well... I looked sky yesterday and today and there's nothing strange in position of constellations... Dipper is starting to tilt and Orion (with its M42) is starting to rise at comfortable time, also M1 is rising higher.
Saturn is in NE meaning few months later it will show very nicely without need to stay awake whole night, Misam (NGC869 and NGC884) is in zenit, M31 is nicely almost in south with M33 while M13 and M27 are starting to descent too low in west...
