Yes, christian socialism is just as bad.

That is the origin of what most people call social conservatism, it is also socialism but, with a slightly differing agenda.

You are beginning to see...

"My contention is that good men (not bad men) consistently acting upon that position [imposing “the good”] would act as cruelly and unjustly as the greatest tyrants. They might in some respects act even worse. Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under of robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber barons cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some points be satiated; but those who torment us for their own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to heaven yet at the same time likely to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be “cured” against one’s will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on the level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals."

Boy the irony here is amazing...

So Jesse has no problem becoming part of the government that he has a problem with if asked?

If Jesse were to run as VP all he would do is push votes toward the other candidate, but I will say it would be entertaining watching him campaign.

I always said I would support Jesse but not when he runs with a racist sexist bigot.

C'mon, I generally like your posts but communism is a political system and socialism is an economic system that works under a variety of political systems.

There are other differences but, that should be enough for now.

No, the union of soviet socialist republics was indeed a socialism as is china.

Socialism is a totalitarian ideology which seeks to supplant private property and individual will for the good of the people.

Communism is simply its purest form which insists upon total global domination, not mere nationalistic domination as is the case with national socialisms.

This is hilarious! Years ago I created a couple of posts regarding my dislike and distrust of Jesse Ventura that brought all the trolls out of the woodwork. JV wanting to run with Trump proves all of my points! He is a liar, a joke, and a sell out. When will our elected officials be chosen for the good they have for their community and country? Certainly not in this election.

He's not an ATSer...he's a politician. It's probably not even him "posting" here.

This is a marketing opportunity for him. Nothing more or less.

I find it rather disgusting. Well both this turn of events and the reality TV candidate too.

They are both political operatives. One look at their work together, in 2000, fracturing the Reform Party says it's true.

While I like Jesse, his basic abandonment of this country is not really a good sell for him becoming VP.

And like another said, I doubt he and Trump would be in the same room for very long before Jesse decked him one (and this is coming from a guy who likes Trump).

Whoever gets the GOP nod needs to have Rubio as his VP for the Hispanic vote. That much is pretty much a given. Oddly enough, I can't see Trump making that choice, but then again, I'm sure the GOP lacks the balls to really put Donald out there anyhow. No doubt they've already selected Jeb as their guy, despite his polls.

Well said! My guess is that he's doing this because there's no military widow that he's currently suing due to her dead husband saying something that hurt his little feelings.

Suing a widow over hurt feelings! I absolutely can't stand him! It really doesn't get any more pathetic than that!
