A darkness has settled upon the political climate of the world, we now live in a time when it is a honored right of passage for a politician to have, sold his constituents votes to the highest bidder.

In a world where corruption, and rumors of corruption invade our everyday life, diametrically opposing us, never allowing us to truly speak about the real issues and real solutions. We all;and even I, fall in line so easily when the voice of opposition who is also in his/her ordained place speaks.

I propose to avoid the riff raff and to engage in true political and philosophical discussion that benefits the 'people' not the greater imaginary concept, but you know, you and I. We take a hint from our hippy ancestors and step out of the rusty cogs of the machine.

We, Dance, laugh, make each other laugh, share among one another, play music, muse philosophy and enjoy our humanity together at least for one day. or even in the brief time you are in this thread.

If you disagree with me, and wish to call and degrade my solution to at least start a discussion on the hard problem,s i completely understand but i still love you, and on some basic level you still love me.

So lets start from the basic idea that people don't wish to live in strife, that we truly wish to live in harmony and build from there. Lets laugh in the face of certain nihilism, lets be like retro for a moment. and with that i give you canned heat.

1. I think we would do best to discuss a smaller system like a town or village rather than an entire country.

2. I think people do best and are happiest when they have something to work for and can enjoy fully the fruits of their individual labors.

3. Society should value generosity and compassion to promote the free sharing of goods where needed, not the compulsion of giving.

4. Free trade among individuals should also be encouraged.

Ketsuko very beautiful post and rings true in so many ways, this country cannot be rebuilt from the top down it's gotta be rebuilt from the ground up, which means communities and villages. Perhaps as you suggest, even the dissolving of a true nation entity imagined as some grand empire, and community's not based on the forced compulsion of giving but the free giving spirit that resides in all of us.

Thank you for responding. You got my point. America isn't the world. It seems like it here sometimes.

The problem I see with the US right now is that it IS moving towards a more socialistic society. However the word "socialism" has been castigated to the point that people don't even know the meaning anymore. "IT'S RED!!!!!"

No problem and honestly I'm trying to out my preconceived notions and perhaps myopic view points because I feel change starts with me, change in the sense of problem solving and trying to figure out how to live, harmonious amongst ourselves and nature. That's truly what we all really want right?we all really wish to live in a stress free and cohesive world?

Well I don't know if it's socialism that I'm proposing, Really I'm just asking for free thought without preconceived political positions. Free thought that comes from, peoples experiences and not from a 24 hour news feed or a government entity, just want people to be themselves and speak what it is we all really want. Bet it's a lot closer than we know.

For one to thrive another must strive.

Those words was taught to me not very long ago.

Lets make a world of power to the people, anarchy? Can Socialism grow from anarchy, no ? No, tyranny is always the next step. It takes a small amount of humans to enslave thousands, they wont rebel as long as you feed them, house them and cloth them. Socialism is an ideal when people can decide, socialism only works in a oligarchy.

America does not understand, for a socialist state to work only a few can decide for the majority. The people will only vote for tyranny.

You guessed it. Crony capitalism and oligarchy are also comprised of a tiny group with whips and laws, and the rest of us on our knees.

a lot of the problem these days i think is that no one communicates any more.
people just talk..talk..talk..talk.
when i look out the window at work everyone walks by with their head down...texting.
they dont even see when someone walks past.
when i was young [in the times you are refering to] we actually communicated,talked about ideas,talked about dreams.
i dont see people doing that much anymore..
