Oh golly gosh...China pledges to limit carbon emissions!

You mean the same China that censors anything and everything?

What does China censor?

Not like they have something called the Great firewall of China or anything...nope doesn't exist.

Of course they don't ban Youtube, Twitter, Google, or anything like that...wait they do?!? WOW!

Your credulousness is legendary.

" Well it's a good thing solar is set to be the main source of energy for our species by mid century "

Where did you get that Fictitious Information ? At Present in the U.S. , Solar Power accounts for about 1 PERCENT of our Energy Production . By mid Century we are Lucky to see that go to about 3 Percent .

Sad you gave up already.

Are you sure? In any case, it amounts to a lot of power.

This means that solar power in the U.S. now supplies enough electricity to meet the yearly demand of Hawaii, Rhode Island, Alaska and Vermont combined. Three states can now boast that solar electricity provides more than 5 percent of total consumption within the state: California, Arizona and Hawaii. And total U.S. solar electricity generation now exceeds the consumption of 16 individual states and the District of Columbia.

Where is all this heat that everyone keeps raving about, certainly doesn't exist in australia at the moment. Gonna find some coal and set it alight to speed things on a little.

Phage, I wish you to know that my words are not defamitory nor inciting with exception to add to the discussion of my opinion. I do believe that. And I do believe we are a day late and a dollar short in finding real solutions that will help mankind.

I feel that this topic is in fact a very important issue to discuss. Although my personal belief is that at best we can help only a mere 2 to 3 generations.

I wish I could believe otherwise, but I cant.

greentechmedia.com ? Come on now , a Liberal Rag Site that uses Propaganda to Support their Fairy Tale Agenda . Believe what you wanna Believe , Solar Power will NEVER be an Energy Source that will replace Oil , or Nuclear Power one day on EARTH........

I agree that solar will not provide all energy needs (not for a very, very long time anyway).

But it is not the only alternative to fossil fuels and the more alternatives are put into use, the better.

No, I'm old enough to remember nights when the temperature was still at 40C (104F) at midnight so I doubt I will see anything like that in my lifetime again. Average temperature for past months is 1-2 C degree's cooler than last years which wasn't even warm. But I was expecting it to be cold given that Antarctica ice extent was largest on record.

Seems like a lot of planes are suffering hail damage of late. Winters coming.

Seems you know less about weather than you do climate.
Hail is a warm weather phenomenon.

So Phage, do we need to promote self loathing amongst cows now? The "legendary" Climate GOD James E Hansen seems to be drifting a bit from the CO2 doom porn he has been spewing for the last 30 years.

Given your communist/socialist/elitist paradigm, do we need to kill all livestock so we can be safe?!

I can see Helium 3 for Fusion Reactors if it becomes practical to Mine it on the Moon or Asteroids in the next 20 Years . Oil and Nuclear Energy days are Numbered today .
