But that's the thing about the quatrains. Every generation swears they figured it out and it applies to them. Fifty years from now someone will look at those same quatrains and 'know' they figured them out.

I think the only time his writing was true was when he wrote to his son, and even then I think they had a secret method of communicating. Not a code or letter substitution but more like key words that had special meaning to them.

Nostradamus would have been famous even without the quatrains. He was a brilliant physician who actually cured people of the plague. Whether he could see the future or just had a vivid and creative imagination with an eye for the future will probably never be known. I like the idea of the quatrains and the mystery that surrounds them, but I am not convinced of any prophetic ability. Perhaps some day...

I'd like to see the actual quatrains. Right now those are just predictions that someone created and attributed to Nostradamus. I don't think he ever specifically said "Western USA" in his quatrains.

Yeah, right now I'm calling bulls#!t since there is no quatrain reference on the website... just horribly loose "interpretations."

Every generation has made various interpretations on the very same quatrain, so...

If the quatrains could fit to anything we choose, then they would be absolutely worthless, indeed.

That is not the case, as I found out quite recently.

4 quatrains, and 3 of the 4 are consecutive.

All 4 fit to one specific event, while nothing else does, to any one of the 4 quatrains...let alone 2, 3, or all 4 of them!

I don't know if other quatrains fit like this, but finding this one example is remarkable, indeed

This thread....just sums up ATS and the mentality of doom pornsters. Life sucks, hate everyone, ready to die, therefore I see armageddon everywhere I look. I'm ready to live until 500. Sorry your life sucks. Nibiru is not going to release you.

I think Nostradamus is a very intelligent person for his period, he knew things would happen, and so kind of generalized his prediction in a way that is applicable to the much recent historical events of this day and age.

No how smart is this guy? What a long shot prediction for someone who lived in the 1500's?

It only takes one Prediction to come true, for this guy to hold water, but someone suggeat he at least got 10 predictions right.

Nostradamus Top 10 Predictions on the money

Of course, they maybe too general, but hey one might wonder, how the heck did he know it in the first place to make those "generalized" predictions in his time to fit events of modern history alone is mind boggling stuff.

Peace
