You can get a rough estimate from one of the videos that appears to be pretty far back. It takes about 7 or so seconds for the shockwave to reach them so they are about 1.5 miles away give or take.

So no way that 10km of destruction is realistic from the videos I have seen.

I don't see how there are only 13 dead in all that. That is massive destruction.

The Chinese Communist government will be determining who should commit suicide shortly......

Storing explosives next to more explosives, not very smart. The secondary blast was bigger than the first, earthquake meters registered the secondary explosion at 21 tons of TNT.

In one word WOW! That was one huge explosion. If it is a chemical explosion, I would be high tailing it out of there!

I didn't say anything about nuclear.

I said impact and detonation. Like a thousand pounder only much bigger (only frame of reference sorry).

I say that because of a lack of multiple reactions in the video. I could always be wrong.

In one of the videos there is what appears to be a cement wall about a 1/4 mi away from the camera. When the second explosion occurs the wall comes hurling toward the camera and then the clip ends. The pieces of that wall were not slowing down at all. They said on the site I read that it was a shipment of TNT that exploded. All I know is this will be the beginning of the serious Chinese version of OSHA.

But they saved some time and money for a while by doing it. Hope it was enough for a new complex.

The place now looks like a scene from a sci-fi movie.

I don't really blame the Chinese for being upset about the reporter being there. They don't want to see their tragedy being marketed to the world . I mean I didn't see any Chinese reporters around there. At least they still have enough respect for their people not to make merchandise out of their grief and loss. I hope they never change. I mean if you were laying on the ground injured and overcome with grief at the loss of your daughter....would you want a reporter filming you and talking about it ? So the news channel can make their ratings go up..

Is it not possible, given the size of the blast, that large debris was thrown 10Km?

Especially given how high some of it seemed to go.

I'm not saying it did, genuine question.

Is this a U.S. retaliation for the pentagon hack?

The U.S. claimed it was a Russian hack but....send a message?

That depends on what actually blew up.

Of course. I was only speculating.
